I've given up on our own ill-discipline. It is woven into the fabric of the jersey it would seem.
Oh I know Spirit - I happen to know Spirit mainly watches roosters games to witness these fabulous displays of discipline by sides that play us.

The rest of us that object to being rectally probed by men in pink are of course escaped mental patients. Teriyaki and ELO and Tries off Rothfield, and, well you know who you all are, please don't confuse Spirit with us. He just loves and applauds teams that play perfectly disciplined football against us. Leave him alone, he's entitled to enjoy them, even if said teams are still having to bite the pillow on the end of repeated schoolings by us on the scoreboard in spite of their perfect discipline. Spirit is still entitled to enjoy their low penalty count rates.

I nearly broke my remote! How could we be offside when they tapped it from one metre out?

Spirit of 66 and player 1 (and some others), you've all summed up my frustration with the penalty situation AGAIN. I'm very happy about the win yet I'm still struggling to get my head around this whole penalty situation. I was thinking I should start a thread and track the penalty counts in Roosters games this year whilst comparing it to the vermin penalty count - might make interesting reading.

It would have been a travesty had that penalty lead to graham grounding the ball in the corner after the siren. That sort of play by defending teams happens in every game every week. Yes, congratulations cowboys, I think Trent needs to have a chat with both the coaches of the vermin, faiders and cowgirls to learn how to win penalty counts at a ratio or 3:1.

It seems that the near perfect discipline displayed by the Cowboys in Townsville last week - where they concede just one penalty in 77 minutes of play - could not be maintained in similar conditions last night. Not sure why. Maybe they are disoriented when they are not playing in Townsville.

C'mon, don't be shy, just spit it out, They won't playing against the Roosters Last night !!!!!!!!!!!

Won't be any easier winning the refs over tonight either, us playing against the UFC cheats.

Hilarious - refs did everything to get the cowboys over the line last week - we just wouldn't break.

Now to see them lose 2 in a row, and to the worst team in the comp, priceless.

My sides were hurting laughing at Coach Henry squealing like a pig with its throat cut cause THIS week a few calls went against them - and the amazing "discipline" displayed against the second placed team - 77 minutes of penalty free football - couldn't be continued against the team running last.

I rekon they are the biggest disappointment of the year. I really thought they had a decent squad. Awesome forward pack and a decent back line plus Bowen and JT.
Had a feeling the dogs bubble would burst and the Warriors had no hope with the appointment of the looniest coach in the league, really shocked at how bad the cowboys are going

Well said Spirit and no surprise to either of us and others here of a similar mindset. The cowboys still won the penalty count 8-7 which means they conceded over twice the amount of penalties against the tigpies but received only one less.

Now with regard to tonight's game, here are some relevant penalty counts ...
                        R8 - Roosters (H) v Penrith = 6-8
                        R9 - Melbourne v Penrith (H) = 3-5
                        R9 - Roosters v Manly (H) = 9-9
                        R10 - Melbourne (H) v Manly = 10-5
