Pearce is playing well, but he's not there yet...that pass to no one, in a good attacking position, was a shocker.

I have and still have serious doubts concerning Pearce not so much about his defensive works but his one dimensional attacking skills.
This was his best game this season, superior to Maloney's, gutsy, determined, intelligent off loads. Perhaps he not having to carry the extra load in defence, as was the case in 2011 and 2010, he now has the energy to demonstrate his attacking skills.
But overall the best win of the season against a solid defence and a team with very significant completion rate and possession of the pill.
