I guess i just want to see us capitalising on our field position more. The Cows had no right to be in that game due to our defence.

We need to really start choking teams by making them tackle. It will make the job so much easier.

we are a side that is still yet to really dominate the forward battle in a grind. great at defending, sure, but we really need to learn how to play good field position in close games. it'll kill our fitness in games eventually. luckily the boys are very persistent in defence

If anyone has Fox, watch the replay of the game. Pay attention to Pearce organising everyone and telling MK to hold off on his block run to allow Sonny to run decoy just before Mini's try. Great to see him taking charge like that.

Penalty count was only part of the problem. We made life difficult for ourselves with a number of errors coming out of our own half which just piled the pressure on.

We received 9-9 penalties against Manly mate and still had to defend a shitload in our own half. In the Broncos game we won the penalty count 8-7 but still found ourselves often trapped in our own 20m line. We are very much a side who still isnt able to dominate field position in close games. You can blame the referees all you want, but the lack of field position is often self-inflicted due to the team and its error counts. As well, our forwards dont quite get the roll on that other teams do unfortunately

Compounding this with the amount of errors we make and the penalties we concede makes life a lot harder. Some people will say "oh just be happy we're winning" but that's still not good enough. The team knows there is always room for improvement and that's the sort of attitude that Robbo has instilled in the team. I don't see anything wrong with adapting the same mentality as fans. We know we can improve in certain areas. If we want to be the best, then we need to always find improvement

And before you say it, i am very thrilled with where we are at. Thrilled with the defence and the character of the team
