I don't know what it looked like on tv, and i don't care if anyone calls me a conspiracy theorist, but being at that game all i can say is that the referees were a DISGRACE.

We cop it every single ****ing week. The Cowboys were creeping up offside all the second half and we got NOTHING. Especially on the back of RTS break...never back.

9-3 penalty and we did nothing to deserve it. No penalties from about the 30min mark even though we did nothing different to the Cowboys.

This league's officials are a blight on the game and make's it a global embarrassment.

But for us to win on a 5-day turnaround with 45% possession and on the back of a 9-3 count...what a great team we have. They deserve better.

Oh and we got the first two penalties of the game.

Now does anyone seriously think we deserved a 9-1 count against us after that?

Given that the refs are doing everything they can to get the Rabbits over the line i do fear a repeat of the 2010 GF which was the biggest stitch up of all-time should we meet in the big one where we won't get a penalty until about the 77th minute. And they'll score a try despite their player being in row Z.

Much the same thing happened last year in Darwin.

The refereeing in tonite's game was a disgrace...and seeming very biased in favour of the Cowboys.
Roosters should've received another 10 penalties...Cowboys offside all night, high tackles, lying all over our players in tackles, roughing them up after being tackled, etc.

      What's new though?
No different from most matches we play.

TIME to complain bitterly...in the media.

Tommy, you'll get only agreement from me. Outstanding win by the Roosters under the circumstances and simply amazing how perfectly the cowboys played in the second half not to concede one penalty. It seemed to me at the end that the refs were doing all they could to get the cowboys a win. The number of flops that go unpenalised in each and every game yet the Roosters got penalised for a flop last night - that is just one example. 3-9 overall, 0-5 in the second half - really!

Watch the fox replay if you feel like listening to the refs tell all the roosters players to mooooooovvvvveeee as soon as the player is on the ground. It felt like there was a different set of rules for each team, I had no issues with the penalties we gave away, most of them were deserved but once again an opposition team comes up with another perfectly disciplined performance.

We struggled to bend the line all night which meant the Cowboys could control the ruck all night, on the opposite end they were making great metres every set, bending the line & creating second phase play which resulted in quick rucks.

There might have been a bit of a hometown advantage they got away with quite a bit in the ruck but that's to be expected, we were poor going forward that's why we got smashed in the penalties. We missed Moa & JWH putting the defense on the back foot.

Yet despite all our short comings we still won.

                    Awesome defensive performance.

Why is it that some on here think that a win means nothing went wrong and we were superior in every aspect. Last night was a gutsy win based on determination and great defence but we were totally outclassed by their forward pack.

Absolute rubbish. With only 45% possession & a 9 -3 penalty count going against them we still held our own.

With the amount of possession they had, if the cowboys were that superior in the forwards they won would of by 20, even with our amazing defence.

Poor possession & a lopsided penalty count can be attributed to our poor go forward.

Their heavy possession came on the back of being able to put us under huge pressure through their kicking game and relentless attacking raids in our own end on the back of making good metres whilst we struggled to come out of our own end all night. A lopsided penalty count is also representative of a team who's on top going forward, our props struggled to find their fronts all night and we created very little second phase play.

It was an exceptional performance given how they were camped in our half for the majority of the game.

Really? When can we expect this in our home games?

Further to my earlier post congratulating the Cowboys on their discipline, I'd like to point out that apart from one mandatory shoulder charge penalty the Cowboys conceded in the 18th minute, they did nothing that warranted a penalty in 76 minutes of play. OUTSTANDING!
