My only concern is his recurring muck up in the play the ball, either when actually playing the ball or losing the ball in a loose carry. I'm still more than happy to keep him and see how he develops, but will be interesting to see what happens when Moga is fit and how Trobbo chooses to fit him into the side.

I want to see the form he showed on Anzac Day on a regular basis, as he was outstanding that day! Aggressive hard running, legs pumping through the tackle and fending off players, along with great finishing for tries.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

      Here's looking at you, kid.

Better than Perrett. Cheaper. More upside. Take your time Toups.

All hype with no substance at present!
He is going better than Moga did last year so I am not sure what has changed that would put Moga ahead in the pecking order.

              He's going well I reckon.

His hit ups are 50/50. Sometimes he's real damaging, other times he gets forced back 5 metres owing to his lanky frame.

He'll be a lot better with some extra weight on him.

Not worried about the lack of tries from high balls. I know he has that in his game. He scored a couple from cross field kicks early in the season.

              I reckon he's solid.

He makes an error every game... who doesn't? From a barrage of kicks by none other than JT, he made 1 notable error that I can remember. Given the weather and pressure we were under, 1 error is a drop in the ocean.

His diffusion of Thurston's kicks won us the game this round, I have no doubt about that. He's starting to drag people with him too (my initial fear was that he got dominated easily.)

The week we tried playing without him (Raiders)... we lost the game by at least 1 try that I think his height/size would have prevented. I missed him severely that week.

Again tries... nobody scores every week. This week tries were scored off linebreaks, not kicks (due to the weather.) He's scored enough tries this season to prove his worth I believe. Saying "he's not scoring every week" is greedy. He's scored a few doubles already and is a serial try scorer when our forwards/kicking are dominant. Manly/Cowboys we've had no ball and have scored off line breaks (straight from Pearce's cut-out passes.) Storm... he probably won't score because their forwards will dominate but his height is intimidating in defence so will be valuable.

Excellent player... much better than Sammy P*nis, Bl*wjob Wifesmacker, Roid Rage Dwarf and Oldfield. An unexpected emerging talent who's already paying dividends in his first full season in RWB. He's a REAL winger... and a bloody good one! Gone are the BS days of putting those who aren't quite ready for the back row onto the wing (if there's no space in the centres) so that they can get 1st grade experience.

To me that's the big one... he's a specialist winger who's learning how to be a winger (while giving us quality tries/defence.) BS never had that!! All his wingers either played for the Jets part-time or had secret goals of moving to the back row one day.

When JT kicks a bomb near the line we're defending I feel MUCH safer having Tupou on the wing than I do with any of the shorties/big boys listed above.

doesnt quite have the natural finishing ability or agility of most wingers. seems to have been taken over the sideline more than a few times imo. jury is still very much out. need to see more of that aggression he showed on anzac day.

am willing to give him time, but i can also see Moga coming in and taking his spot in the future

1.Sheck doesnt make an error every week.
2.Not sue which diffusion of Thurstons kick you are talking about?
3.I hardly think we lost the game against the Raiders game due to Tupou not being there
4.I never said he needs to sore a try every week

I do agree he can potentially be very valuable for us down the track due to his size and skill, but he needs alot of improvement..

What's Moga ever done to warrant immediate selection?

                      Seriously.

So much hype and I've yet to really see why.

No way he has shown more than Moga did last year,Moga has his nose infront in my opinion.
Whos made more breaks and looked more dangerous with ball in hand?
Tupou is strong and quick, but has failed to utilise his strengths at the moment..I hope im wrong as he is a Rooster and i would love nothing more to have another special talent in our ranks.

I like him. He has great hands defending the high ball out wide, something we haven't had in.... well to be honest I can't recall the last winger we've had which I felt as confident about defusing bombs. He also has a tidy amount of pace, take a look at him running in support when Jennings scored against Manly.

His main problem is he drops the ball a bit. That can be coached out easily, its just how he carries the ball IMO (one handed, tucked against the wrist). He can occasionally be a bit lazy with his dummy half runs, but once he's been crushed a few more times he'll soon learn that running hard winds up hurting less than running soft in the long run.

Frankly I can't find fault in any area of our team. The main problems I had pre-season were in the spine, and Pearce has come on great again with a dominant 5/8 outside him, Friend has dropped what looks like a good 10kg of fat from around his guts and no longer dies in the arse the last 15 mins of each half, and Mini has been acceptable at the back if not really able to bring a lot to the table in attack.

Times are good roosters fans. Sit back and enjoy the season instead of trying to find issues to get worked up about

Not in defence which we have built this season on so far.

Mini has shut me up over the past few weeks,im starting to feel alot more comfortable when he touches the ball.
He also takes some tough hit ups to take the pressure off his forwards,im happily eating humble pie on that one.

In regards to Friendy, dropping some weight is the best thing that has happened to his game,he`s playing great!
