He needs to learn when to come in-field and make ball retention his first priority.

It seems to me that we seem to bomb to his side from a long way out, and he has shown he can have trouble judging them. Those high bombs are always a lottery, and frequently give the defending team more time to get a blocker in place. If there not timed right, the attacker loses the advantage of momentum. IMO he could be way more effective as a target for chip-bombs from close-range, where his height gives him the obvious advantage. Particularly where the chip is aimed a quarter-way in field, so it's les likely to be contested by a winger or fullback. This is the exact tactic Manly used against us for Matai's try. We should learn from this. We tend to do this towards SKD, who, though tall, has hands like feet and tends not to come down with the ball. We should try this towards Jennings & Toops more often.

Moga looks great with the ball in hand, but in defence showed no urgency at all at times last year. That said, he had a few mates last year who have aimed up so for in 2013. He will need to come back through the Jets and prove he's confident and ready for firsts before a guy who's definately contributing to the team gets dropped for him.

I didnt realise having differing opinions on certain players was an issue, maybe next week we shall all agree and nod our heads on every topic refering to our team..That`ll work

Imo i think he is to lanky and definitely needs to put on some size and and learn how to bump players off, a soon as anyone gets their shoulder into his hips or thighs they drive him back pretty easy. But he still has alot of potential, and is not a weak link

Like all I want the best for him and sure he is green and that is my concern in finals footy - he has attributes but suss hands. I hope he improves as in finals time teams will target him like our previous weak links on the wing in finals - Chris Walker and BJ

That is a great tactic! I really like that idea of swapping Toups and Jennings on the 4th or 5th tackle and put in that beautifully placed chip type bomb for Toups. With his height he would win the contest for the ball most times and by using Toups as a target further in field he doesn't have to contend with the sideline.

Imo we must persist with Toups as dropping him would only mess with his confidence. I would like to see him work hard on his core strength as that can be an issue with someone of his height. As mentioned by someone earlier, he craps on Ferrett, BJL etc as wingers and to think we got him as a swap with whatsamatta for Blair lol, I know who got the better end of that deal!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                Here's looking at you, kid.

It took a while for RTS to get adjusted to that position it may take Tupoo a little longer. I don't think he
has done anything wrong to drop him but a little more fire in the belly when on kick returns would be nice.

It sure did. I can remember plenty on here wanting him dropped after the Souths game. That was what - his 10th game of first grade?

Exactly. Moga needs to work on his committment in defence.

If I had to find one word to describe him at the moment it would be placid.

                        I'm still not sold either.

Really? I'm pretty sure I'd go for 'tall'.

You can do what you like Fortunately you and others on here have no say whatsoever when it comes to the team

For the record I think Tupou is coming along nicely and the thread topic is ridiculous Seeing Moga is a fair way off returning yet

What is ridiculous about someone starting a thread on a players form?

Some have touched on it already, he's tall and gangly, and hasent filled out yet, which makes him look vunerable. He has as few errors in him, which with good coaching, he will fix, but I don't expect to see the best out of him till next season, after another full off season in the gym, and a special diet to add some muscle ( not from Dank, I might add ) , and he'll be fine next year, while we can cover for the odd error or two, let him keep playing and gaining experience and confidence, and it can only be good for the club.
