Definitely has talent and I agree with those that are saying that his game is still very loose - we have been lucky so far that his dropped balls and fumbles havent cost us - dived on by teammates, gone backwards, fallen into teammates hands (e.g. maloney on the weekend). That said, imo Moga at full tilt will be a walk-up start ahead of toops

Moga will not return to first grade this year except for injuries. It's pretty clear based on previous decisions from Robbo that Moga will not be picked until they fix his defense up starting from NSW cup. His defense was as bad as SKD's used to be.

What about when he was running the same speed as Jennings when he intercepted the pass to score in the Manly game? He stayed about 3-4 metres behind him the whole time.

Jennings was at 3/4 pace mate....he only had to outrun lyon, who got pretty close mind you...if lyon is nearly as fast as jennings then ...well ill just say he's not

Jennings started jogging 30m's out, Lyon did not gain a metre until then, Tupou however kept with him from about 2-3m behind.

Dunno what everyone is complaining about. He did nothing wrong against Cowboys except drop one kick that should've been an easy catch. He saved 1 or 2 trys. He has shown he has speed by keeping up with Jennings when he ran the field against Manly. He has shown power by breaking multiple tackles and dragging defenders. And he has shown what his height/long arms can do for him, diffuse dangerous situations like against Glenn Stewarts chip for Williams and although Tupou was behind Williams, still managed to punch the ball dead. If we had Perrett, Leilua or Dwarf on his wing we would've lost against Cowgirls.

Not to mention he's still growing and learning what he's capable of.

Yeah he might also make a couple of errors.. So does Uate.

*Daniel seems to be in & out of games (stamina perhaps is the problem?)

*Every team knows that he is great under the high ball thats why they have blockers in place.. so he doesnt have that same effect as of yet.

Now ask yourself how you feel about having a big, strong, tall, quick young bloke on the wing named Daniel Tupou.

Wait and reap the rewards...this kid could be very good...yet unleashed pace and power to burn...and the height and leap a bonus.

He has all the attributes

Needs to learn how to use his power
Has little moments where he actually busts the lines..

He needs to build stamina.. seems to be short breathed at times.. maybe that may be the reason for his errors.

Especially the drop.ball against cow girls

Moga won't be back this year unless there is a spate of injuries....his defence last year at times was appalling and needs to work on his attitude towards defending. when he returns for Newtown or 20s.....give Toops time. He as all the natural attributes size,speed although having such a high centre of gravity means he takes time winding up, some serious sprint training next off-season will improve his explosiveness. He is still learning the ropes and will come good.

Exactly. Lyon wouldn't gain a meter chasing a full speed Jennings.
