  • MVP against Cowboys?

I was doing the player voting and I got stuck at that last question. Who was the MVP?

Pearce - for his control of the game and great try-assists, was everywhere in defense as usual and kicked well.

SKD - They sent traffic his way a lot and was very good in defense. Improved drastically from previous weeks regarding his hands. Seemed to read the game proficiently.

Friend - 52 tackles, missed none. 1 penalty no errors.

I ended up going with Pearce but it was a tough one.

    What did everyone else pick?

Friendy. Him and aubo have really improved this season and have taken their game to a new level.
    Comment of the year:

SBWs work rate was phenomenal. And he was running it up the middle where our regular props were missing. With the huge work rate he still managed some of the usual magic passes late in the game. If anyone else did this they would be MVP hands down. But you come to expect that from sbw now.

Thought Mini's performance was top shelf in those conditions

I felt he let us down with his 2 errors from just losing the ball in the tackle and putting us on the backfoot after already soaking up heaps of pressure. He played good but for the standard of SBW, he was no way the MVP.

Laugh all you want. You either didn't watch the game or you were wearing your "Anti-SKD" goggles.

                    LOD.

Stood up when we needed it most. Showed the Cows that we were there for business.

Friendly a close second. His first spell was immense.

                      MVP against cowboys

My vote goes to Friendy. 52 Tackles no errors as opposed to Pearce 25 tackles 3 penalty concessions and who threw the ball to Pearce to get the try assists and the fact that it wasn't attack that won that game it was defence.

That tackle count is insane when you consider that he played 60 or so minutes.
