got in their just before me JC...

If QLD pick Marty, they must be struggling in the forwards BIG TIME.

      Cliche but true.

It's funny but a few weeks ago when I saw Petrol70calitre on the teev and they were saying there's a spot open I thought of MK. He's been in their system for a few seasons and his forms been very consistent IMO.

      It's a very QLD move.

I am with both your statements backwards. Wholey! If he was picked he would probably play 10-15 max and would only grow for the experience.

Imagine if jwh was eligible for origin... he was born to play origin. His made for it completely, no disrespect to new Zealand , but its a shame he cant play. If he would play for the blues , he would help them massively imo...

Personally, I don't think he is a snowballs chance in hell of getting selected for Qld, he just hasen't got the mental toughness for SOO football. To me he has shown to be a club footballer at best, I would love for him to prove me wrong, but Iám not holding my breath.

This probably has nothing to do with this thread but a friend from work who goes for the gummies said that she read somewhere that Andrew Fifita has averaged over 200m in the last three matches, and he has started two of those matches off the bench.

I'm not sure if there was a glitch by the people who record the stats but FMD that's a stat. Our best forwards in Moa and JWH would be lucky to average 100m over any part of the season. I don't know if it's because our team rely on our backline players to take some hitups, more than any other team or the fact that our props are not relied upon to make most of the metres, but I can't remember the last time that one of our guys made 200 m in a game.

On Kennedy, I rate him highly. I think he has what it takes and will be a valuable asset to our club if we can hold onto him for the future. It's interesting that most opposition fans rate him higher than our own fans do. Most of my mates who go for opposing teams have thought of him as the future of QLD up front. Even two years ago, when he first came onto the scene, there was a massive uproar in the media when he declared his allegiance to QLD. Apparently prior to being injured that year, NSW were looking to pencil him into their team, only to find out later on, that he had pledged his allegiance to QLD.

He should concentrate on improving his game with us and maintaining his place in the 17 than trying to get in the origin squad which in my opinion he's not up up as yet.

Brad tessman, Trevor Patterson, mike McLean - they all did a job for qld. Pity they didn't do anything for the roosters.

I wouldn't be surprised if they picked him. Hopefully it does the same for his game as it did for Shillo.

But stranger things have happened and if he did get picked and stands up, the Roosters will benefit from it.
Although if he gets picked as a NSW fan I would be happy
                    Brad Tessmann springs to mind.

i had hoped since when morely was here that a pre season tri origin series was played where every player in the nrl was eligable but not by birth state, but from the state where their team plays for ie..
                      qld--cowboys,titans broncos

                      nsw- all nsw teams

and a combined rest of the league which would include warriors, raiders and melbourne.

a nsw pack would include the likes of jwh, burgess bros, sbw, gallen.

                      just a thought.

MK deserved the praise in 2011 as the first six rounds he was unstoppable running straight and hard at the line.

Since his return he has been solid at best. He gets a lot of criticism here because of a stop before the line running style.

If MK gets selected by QLD so be it but I definitely want to see him go out and hurt Melbournes pack This Saturday and lift the team.

It would be interesting to see if Kennedy gets penalised at that same rate in SOO as he does for us....

I see this as the biggest flaw in his game. His impact at the line is improving as the season goes on. He ran much better on Saturday night against the cowboys. His workrate was also very good.

Kennedy is nowhere near an origin player. He's barely a first grader.

Hearing this is the NSW team already decided by Daley
Apparantly 2 senior players have already been informed

                              1.Hayne 2.Ferguson 3.Jennings 4.Morris 5.Morris 6.Maloney 7.Pearce 8.Gallen 9.Farah 10.Tamou 11.Hoffman 12.Lewis 13.Bird..Res 14.Gidley 15.Merrin 16.Watmough 17.Fafita

If Morris is ruled out Meritt will come in.
So this will be the team providing no injuries this weekend
Lets see if my source is correct

                                Is he over penalised???

I rarely use stats but found he's made 252 tackles, missed 5, made 5 errors and given 6 penalties away (3 against TheStains).

                                In 10 games.

Considering we are the most penalised team with the most penalised player in the comp in JWH I believe the blame MK gets for everything is unjustified.

Often I see these cliches repeated on this forum and often they are based in myth not fact.
