If we lose Jennings or Maloney to injury then I will kick Daley in the balls personally.

I rarely use stats but found he's made 252 tackles, missed 5, made 5 errors and given 6 penalties away (3 against TheStains).

          In 10 games.

Considering we are the most penalised team with the most penalised player in the comp in JWH I believe the blame MK gets for everything is unjustified.

Often I see these cliches repeated on this forum and often they are based in myth not fact.

I'm shocked at that stat. Watching the games, it seems he is always conceding a couple of penalties each game. Without looking at any stats, I would've thought that JWH, Friend and MK would've been our most penalised players, but Friend and JWH play a lot more minutes and do more work.

I'm sure someone will pull more stats out to contradict this though!

if he does get picked probably make him a better player, plus seeing as so many people in the roosters forum want guys like napa and evans given a go so bad might an opportunity for that. Me personally could go either way

I personally think the gym junky has got too big too fast. At 122kg he has lost some speed and mobility, coupled with the fact that, IMO, he's still regaining his confidence after his very nasty foot injury, he is not playing at the level he should be at the moment. Defensively he's been great, but he won't make Origin taking the ball up as he currently is. The way I see it he has two choices. Either he drops a couple of kgs to improve his speed & agility, or he perseveres as is, knowing it may take another season or two for his body to get used to carrying that weight and begin to play accordingly.

Before the injury he looked every inch a future Origin player. I don't think he's quite regained that level yet, let alone surpassed it. When he starts hitting it up like JWH & Moa everytime, then I think he would come into serious consideration for Origin.

We want a Tolman style forward not a bloated lumbering fat arse like Georgey Porgy Rose.

                    Tone down Martin.

So this will be the team providing no injuries this weekend

This side is a no brainer tbh. At the start of this season there would have been really only two or three spots where there was some doubt over who would be picked. Other than that, most players, particularly in the forward pack are the same from last year. Really there is only three changes from last years losing side and one of those changes was forced through injury, with Hayne moving to fb and fergo to wing.

Never really understood the months of circus surrounding the team selections in the media.
                      Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Kennedy has actually shown a lot of good work rate in the last few weeks. He has played longer minutes and made far more tackles. Last week he made over 30 tackles, apparently more tackles than any other player excluding friendy.

It's FPN that I'm worried about. 2 minutes into his first stint last week and he's huffing and puffing like he's been hit by a bulldozer.

Gees if that's the team you have to feel sorry for Tim Grant. I thought he went well last year. That first hit up where he sat Pedro straight on his ass is an origin debut to remember. He is going good out at the riff too.

I hope Watmough starts if they play Gallen up front. That niggling bastard will really get under there skins like he did the storm the other night. The only time I like a Manly player is when he throws on the sky blue jersey

I agree. After the Parra bashing game, 2 players stood out SKD and FPN. if those two players couldn't make an impact in that game then they are lost, gone, useless. Certainly can't be counted on to help us win difficult games. FPN is now just holding up a place in the squad for a young player to rise and I hope we trade him out by end of the season.

The thing with SKD is at the beginning of the season the coach saw him as a liability in attack and defence, which was true. So the coach wants to work on what's most important first, which is defense. As everyone has noticed over the last 10 rounds, his defense gets better every week and I would now consider him one of the best defensive centres in our game at the moment. (Call me retarded if you like)

The way he now rushes up at the right time compared to last year when he would run at least 5 meters out of the defensive line then be as lost as Bambi in a forest fire and he would end up being responsible for letting in a try. Against the cowboys I remember him rushing up on Thurston when he played out the back to create an overlap, SKD was on him and tackled him straight to the ground as soon as Thurston caught it to prevent what most likely would've been a try, if you watch it again you'll see what I mean. Even against the Rabbitohs when his defense was still off, he rushed up on Inglis when they played out the back and he shut it down, as his defense was crappy he didn't make the tackle but he stopped the play by disrupting Inglis' path. It's obvious the coach worked on his defense in the off-season because he knew he had to rush up on him, he knew what he had to do but he couldn't hold Inglis. SKD shut him down twice although Inglis learned that he would have to slow down before receiving the ball and pass earlier which he did and it ended up being 2 on 1 on RTS and they scored. Although, now that he can actually grab and tackle with proper technique he's a lot better.

When the coach feels SKD has no more to improve on in defense he will start working on his attack. We should probably see SKD playing like a top centre both offensively and defensively late this season or next season.

I would be very happy if Marty was picked

Although losing him to those games would be detrimental for us

He would return a far far improved prop & it will be our gain in the long term
