He reminds me a bit of Hayne. So much natural talent, but needs to grow between the ears. I reckon he will thrive in Origin.

Origin is hardly the place for players who are loose (and I assume that's what you're getting at) to thrive. It's the total opposite imo, Origin is as much about limiting your errors as it is moments of brilliance.

Give me a safe option, ala QLD (Boyd & Tate) over someone who's capable of some magic but is a liability. At that level they'll find you out eventually.

Good point, we were not far away though.
I struggle to see how people can refer to Gallen as over rated. As a pure workhorse he is by far and away the best in nsw. The guy is tough and has an unbelievable motor. His is ordinary when he try's to ball play IMO.

Like I said, worked for Hayne.

Choosing between Merritt, Mcmanus and Ferguson, I think the choice is pretty clear.

Ferguson was always going to play Origin, it was just a matter of growing up.

Seems more the nucleus of why we have lost 7 origins in a row - its more less as usual
list the Queensland team .I cant see them losing ...only hope is a home ground advantage thats about it.

Totally agree mate,the 2 home games is our only saviour..
Not sure why players like Lewis,Bird,Watmough and a few other seem to keep getting picked,maybe a case of no one better to pick from.
