I wouldn't have any issues taking Reynolds into Origin on the bench, I just think we do need a utility on the bench and it needs to be a good ball runner.
Kurt Gidley is not the best player in any "position" he plays in the line up. He is however the best at playing the utility "role" in the comp. Never underestimate the importance of having someone on the bench, who can play anywhere in the team and do a decent job. I think he will feature a lot more than Buhrer did in the last origin and will fill his role perfectly when called upon.
    Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

The decision to give Buhrer an origin jersey is one of the worst selections ever along with the likes of David Williams,Steve Turner, James McManus, Big Red Keithy Galloway and Jason King
The one thing all these players have in common is that the people who played apart in giving them a jersey are still involved and one is the coach.
I would have loved to have seen NSW go ins whole new direction and appoint a coach and selectors who played no part in the last 7 years of origin. If that meant firing an immortal (Bozo) then so be it, unfortunately there was just no real stand out to take over from Sticky

I wholeheartedly agree. On what planet are any of those guys origin material? That isnt even a hindsight appraisal. Look at their numbers - all of them are mediocre to average first graders. King is captaining manly from the bench!? The buhrer selection I can kind of understand given his utility value but the way they used him - taking farah off to give him 10mins?? ridiculous. Its origin not under 10s - if he cant get a run in the backrow and we need to win the game, you dont pull one your best off to give the new kid a go

If Kennedy makes origin he will surely go down as the worst origin player of all time. He is no where near 1st grade standard, how is he in contention for a rep jursey...thatl do me!

Nah I rate Campese, deserved his spot and then got flicked because the whole team played shit in the first game and Bellamy used him and a couple of others as scapegoats
