KB, sometime methodical only helps the choke, see Dragons this arvo.

yep fair enough for sure and i agree that that is often helpful but a well oiled machine goes a long way to facilitating a bit of innovation so to speak. Im not underestimating the broncos im just saying that as we have seen with st merge, methodical and wear sides down before getting them with the game breakers at the back end. tbh, saints dont really have any which is why they havent been as dominant as brisbane were. Dont overestimate bennet though as a genius. Great coach but putting belief in a team, training them hard and playing a disciplined brand of footy is pretty much his recipe for success which is what leads me to believe that its more in these sorts of things rather than trying to overcomplicate

I will also say which I think is where your coming from, is that without doing the simple things right, it doesn't matter how innovative you are you will not get anywhere

Try and be serious and you will look stupid

          Bennett is a genius.
Look how he uses Soward, 2nd off the ruck, which gives him all the time in world to work out what to do.
How did he do this, he has 3 ball playing hookers (Young, Fien and Priddis) and then another distributor in Hornsby.
Most other coaches would play him at 1st receiver, and he'd be making tonnes more mistakes.
So simple, but why couldn't any other coach see it, cause they aren't geniuses.

If Brian Smith can teach our coconuts to catch a damn ball then thats great coaching.

catching is the easy bit, teaching them not to drop it will be misson impossible
