  • That Hayne Try

Still scratching my head, sure you can't rule on forward passes but if you pass to a bloke who's 3 metres in front of you he's offside.

How is it a touchie can miss that pass and then the video ref can miss the offside?

Forget conspiracies that's just incompetence that wouldn't be accepted in a grade 1 arts class.

The first pass by Sandow was deflected forward off Lusick's finger tips as well, it really was a stinker, would expect a few heads to roll over it.

I would say the same thing no matter what game it occurred in.......that was an embarrassment to professional sport.

I thought the refs lost control well before that. Why wasn't MoiMoi sent to the bin for 3rd man in?

So would i but i doubt it will happen. I'm sure they will receive a "pass mark" for there performance.

I am sure I saw 3 knock ons and a forward pass to a player in an offside position.

              In one movement.

The Reffs did a decent job. They got no help IMO.

I'd rather not have the Vidiots. I could cop a reff calling that a try.

I was baffled. I was wondering at the time why the hell none of the commentators were even mentioning offside. I'm pretty sure I said in the Match Day thread at the time about it being offside. It took about 10 minutes for Phil Gould to even mention it, well after the try was already awarded. The video ref got too caught up in the "can't rule a forward pass" bullsh*t...

Even before Sandow's first pass, the Parra player who had the ball initially clearly lost control of it forward into one of our blokes before the ball squirted out backwards. It's ****ing embarrassing how they can all miss that. What do you think the call would have been if it was against Soufffffs?

can a forward pass be called a knock on.
a knock on or knock forward is when the ball is propelled forward and hits any other object (gound, opposition goal post). sothe refs/xplayers in the box should have ruled either accidental offside or a knock on.....

dont worry about the dugans, carneys, teos bringing the game into disrepute, but the reffs touchies and the box are the clowns shitting on a great game.

Anyone else think that tackle Jennings did was a beauty, I thought he'd just fall over and score but Jennings smashed him.

It's an absolute disgrace. If that try was in the 75th minute of a grandfinal with the scores locked up, would it be rewarded....

                          What is a knock-on?

My definition is basically when you lose the ball for whatever reason and it goes forward.

I was dirty about this call because just after it we had a break, were in an attacking position then lost the ball backwards and it was called a knock-on.

Is there a "fumble" rule or something where they're saying "oh he lost control so it's a turnover."

                          ---

We played poorly last night but IMO the refs contributed because they stopped us from gaining momentum.

Parra's 1st try was off multiple wrong calls IMO. This confused us and stopped us from playing properly.

Also Moimoi was being a d!ck but never got penalised let alone sent off for arguing back multiple times.

                          ---

In short the whole game was a farce but at least we got our 2 points!!!! It showed how good we are because we got robbed and still won (just like NSW.)

The initial pass touched Lussick's hand.

                            Only Gould picked it up.

if it was v souffs no way , or even melbourne would have been spared that indignity in fact sandow may nhave been binned to glagrant rule breaching ie fwd pass, at least a penalty to defending team?
