    1.RTS
    6.Mini
    7. Morts

I wouldn't put corner in there. Nor would I move Aubo there. SBW may have a go at 6. He played inside centre in RU which is similar in ways to a 5/8th to league.

Ryley Jacks would be unlikely to play their if our cap space has been maxed out.

    Nafe is our other option.

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

Mini is the worst ball playing fullback in the game, you can't be serious?

That's seriously up there with Anasta @ fullback.

It's a desperate plea for RTS to play fb

          sbw to 5/8th
in some respects, he already plays like our 2nd 5/8th

Your halves need to have kicking games in my opinion. I personally have seen RTS kick once in 20s and that was a chip and chase close to the line. I'm sure he can kick a ball quite well but there is a big difference between being able to kick and having a good kicking game. You need vision, positional awareness late in the tackle count, you need to direct the play appropriately and control the tempo throughout a set to minimise kick pressure, you have to be able to read the tiredness of your forwards and the opposition forwards for that matter and understand what kick is required, you need to communicate with your chasers and you need to be a good chaser yourself. These are all factors that come into a kicking game that actually have nothing to do with your ability to kick a ball. I personally don't believe Daniel Mortimer's kicking game has improved enough (although it is much better) to warrant him being the only kicker. The suggestion of Cordner at 6 is not quite as silly as it sounds although it would not be my choice. He has played a fair few 20s games at 6 and last year he trained as a general play kicking option in the pre-season. Personally I think they would have to move Jake Friend to 7. He has played his whole junior career there and has a good creative running game close to the ruck and an even better selective passing game that would create plenty of opportunities for Jennings and Aubusson. He knows the role of a kicker and has a big boot. If RTS was to play 6 he certainly wouldn't be kicking. He would solely be a running five-eighth, possibly offering attacking kicks close to the line. If that were the game Friend's kicking game from dummy half would have to step up several notches. We are playing a giant Bulldogs pack without our main metre-eater. Our kicking game will be so important. We can't go into the game with one kicker. The 5th tackle pressure on Morts will be immense if there is no short side or second-off option. No Langi is an enormous blow in a game that I was very confident of winning. But that is what happens when 3 of your 4 best halves are unavailable. You get tested. If Friend is not 7 it will be because Robbo doesn't believe Seluini is up to playing 9 for 80 mins defensively. If he then goes for RTS or SBW at 6 i'd imagine Cordner and Friend will do some kicking, both have played that role before and are excellent communicators in the team.

You think Robbo would go with Morts at 6
              Jacks at 7
              And keep Friend at 9?
May not want to disrupt the structures too much by shifting Aubs.SBW,RTS,Friend or Cordner out of a position they have been playing.

First and foremost I think he'd struggle with the fatigue which would obviously have a big effect on his attack.

Personally I don't think playing SBW there is that ridiculous of an idea. Mortimer & Friend would have to do all the game managing but SBW is going to be our go to bloke anyway for points so he may as well be in a position where he has a roaming role getting his hands on the ball as much as possible.
Don't underestimate the shek...he will continue to rise to the challenge and amaze people.

That would be the preferred option i'd reckon. Jacks has worked on his running and his long passing is much better now but he's been struggling in defence playing against the big boys. He's got enough pace in defence but he's a clone of Pearce in a lot of ways and tackles the same way - up top. Pearce is stronger and more aggressive so he can be effective but Jacks struggles. I guess for Robbo it will be what is the lesser of the two evils. There is pros for Jacks, in that he's played with Morts, has a reasonable kicking game that would suffice in the top grade I reckon. But he'll be facing up against Josh Jackson who breaks a lot of tackles, but then again isn't too big. That may be considered less of a disruption than playing your hooker at first receiver and bringing in an even smaller bloke who will have to tackle in the middle for 80 mins. If he only cares about the defence he'll pick a backrower at 6 and have Friend kicking a lot from dummy half.

This will test our depth (or lack of) in the halves.

                      That was my other thought
                      Aubs at 6
Then you would have sonny, morts, SKD, rts one side
Guerra, aubs,Oldfield????, Toups on the other.
That game plan would be very simple, yards yards yards give it to sonny

Langi has been named for the NYC this weekend, perhaps the shoulder injury not as bad as first thought.

I can't see him playing this week and highly unlikely next week. He might have been named but he has a shoulder subluxation and you couldn't risk playing a rookie in first grade within a fortnight of suffering such an injury.

This reminds me of our old coach, playing those mind games.

Sublaxation isn't a dislocation as such it where a bone pops out of the joint then back in. He might be able to play if there was no damage to the surrounding tissue but unlikely for this to occur without some sought of tear. Usually the labrum. However depending on where the year is it might not need surgery till off seaso
