There was an article a couple seasons back stating that Burgess was only on some average sort of contract. Now we know thats all bull, but to justify to the public how Souffs weren't over the salary cap, they came out and said that Burgess was on around 300k per season ....so I think Ray is not far off with that figure.
Of course Sam's mother is on about 500K per season

There was an article a while back about how the tigers were spewing because they didn't know that they could back end his contract like Souths did. I think it averaged out at between 350/400 but he started out at something like 150/200 and his final year was around 550.
