Robbo coached him so knows exactly what he is getting. And the fact that our coach is fluent in French will help immensely.

I reckon he'll prove to be a bit of a revelation and im looking forward to seeing this forward line-up next season:

      11. Aubusson
      12. Sonny-Bill
      13. Cordner
      8. JWH
      9. Friend
      10. Moa

      14. Kennedy
      15. Casty
      16. Evans
      17. Mortimer

I see Evans developing into more of a damaging backrower in the early part of his career. Similar to Willie Mason.
I don't think that backrow is ideal. No one to do the work in tight. All of them CAN, but none are best suited to the work in the middle. I like the balance of our backrow when FPN plays at lock, as it gives our go forward more punch (when he is playing well).

I would have Maubs on the bench and someone like Casty/LOD/FPN/Liu playing lock.

Apart from the You Tube clips, I haven't seen anything of Casty, but he looks pretty mobile and quick. If he has a good workrate and engine, lock may be his spot.

What about Liu? Tasi and LOD are gone next season you'd think. FPN too.

The one worry i would have is relocating its one thing moving from an english speaking country to another but the french have a completely different culture.
He'll have a ball here...Bondi/Sydney are much like the French Riviera/Paris.

He'll go well, not many other people in Sydney speak english these days anyway.

He doesn't give away as many penalties as MK. I also reckon he has a quicker play the ball (as would a corpse). And he hits the line harder (but again, so would a corpse).

And he's more mobile. And more aggressive.

Can we swap MK for Plum?
Kennedy seems to be the refs' whipping boy.
They don't penalise the big stars at other clubs for things they penalise him for.
The first two tackles that Souths made in a match a couple of weeks ago were exactly the same as tackles Kennedy makes...not a penalty was blown.
That's because they were 'NRL' tackles, and not 'Superleague' tackles.
Kennedy is expected to be a 'Superleague' tackler.
            Another outrage!

They seem to penalise Kennedy at will, because they can.

But he's 183cm so that's pretty big (he looks Justin Carney kind of massive!! Not that I rate JC, but he'd only be about 100kg.)

Most of our 110kg props are 190cm+ you've gotta remember. JWH is 193cm and 114kg.

I'd say we're looking at a bloke who is more solid than JWH but significantly shorter. Props don't need to leap for high balls and shorter = lower centre of gravity, so no big worries there regarding size.

Well Remy Martin is a Cognac (French brandy) producer, for those who don't know, VS Cognac is basically the entry level classification, meaning Very Special, VSOP is next up & means Very Superior Old Pale & XO is the more highly rated category of Cognac meaning Extra Old, so depending on how he goes, we could call him VS, VSOP or XO?! Then again if he turns out to be Morleyesque, we could just call him Louis, after the king of Cognacs, Louis XIII de Rémy Martin!

Robbo consistently talks about having different body shapes in his forward pack and how it makes it a lot harder for the opposition team to defend. I think Casty definitely fits this bill, he looks very solid and built low to the ground (like you say a low centre of gravity) he offers us something different.

Agreed. the style of forward I think we are still lacking (which Casty seems to plug) is the gallen/merrin/mcguire style prop/lock. Great skill sets and can ball play and offload, consistent, big engines in attack and defence, good footwork to go with the skills and mobility and built low to the ground. I highly doubt we will lose Evans, Napa, Tasi or any other young talented props for this guy. He will come in for LOD/FPN/Arona (considering Arona seems to have been superseded by Liu who has a similar playing style)

If he comes cheap and short term than I guess what the hell but I wouldn't want his signing to jeopardise the retaining of a younger forward. This game is clearly becoming a young man's sport, and its well known that forwards around 30 are usually heading into injury territory and take longer to recover.

I don't think he'd be all that cheap. He is one of the leading props in Super League and one of the marquee players at Catalans. His performances in Super League are far superior to those of Sam Moa's and he's not on peanuts. He's not going to come all the way to Australia for two years for second tier or low first tier money. However, even with Casty here next year as part of our prop rotation I'm sure Evans and Napa will get plenty of opportunities. Have a bit of faith in our football department on this one.
