speaking of which, I just watched a few highlights on youtube, some here have been saying they see him as a merrin/gallen style lock but I see him as an out and out prop. very similar running to style to that of moa when he hits the ball up.
although, with FPN all but gone, I can understand why Robbo would want Casty in, they have similar styles of play.

However, even with Casty here next year as part of our prop rotation I'm sure Evans and Napa will get plenty of opportunities. Have a bit of faith in our football department on this one.
I agree he won't be a cheap signing. I think he will be bought in as a direct replacement for FPN or LOD, with Arona and Bosden also out (which was on the cards regardless).

Not every signing is going to rain gold, LoD and Oldfield are two signings that IMO were destined for failure. LOD was always going to struggle given his age and injuries, he hasn't earnt any credit or glowing references since taking the field this season and really hasn't stepped up since our two starting props have been sidelined. This Remy looks small, and his highlight video only shows him running into holes against piss weak ESL defensive lines, he will get a shock when he turns out against bigger and faster players in tighter defensive lines. Souths signed Geoff Lima who was 2011 man of steel in ESL but since being back he looks slow and off the pace, there is a huge difference in the forwards between ESL and NRL.

The only reasons I can think of why the Roosters would buy him is because they need to off load players to stay under the cap or that maybe Robbo promised him that he would get him a gig in the NRL.

He is no better than what the Roosters already have. JWH, LOD, Moa, Kennedy, FPN, Ailaomai, Tasi, Evans, Napa, Liu & Tago.

Thanks for the memories to the highlighted players. We can get rid of them to fit in Kennedy and Tasi, both of whom may still play NRL.

A bit premature to have Casty in your starting side eh kegsy??? He hasn't even laced a boot in anger in the NRL yet.

Just wondering how the hell we are going to sign Jack Wighton when he's signed for the Raiders for the next 3 or 4 years?

The same way people keep saying that william hopoate will join us, even though he has signed for parra next year.

If this is fantasy league, can we have a 25 year old Bob Fulton instead?

Why stop there...surely Dave Brown deserves a recall to replace SKD!

you would think so, but Kennedy just hasn't done well enough IMO to warrant a spot. same goes with Tasi. Ailomai and Tago however haven't been tried in FG yet, and could turn out to be much better prospects. Tago atleast, Ailoamai stirkes me as a depth player, but then again, we cant have em all.

And the same thing was said about Sam Moa. Then bam, he's our starting prop and killing it.

He was our top forward last week. He has been making over 30 tackles in the last few matches he has played. He also made 146m last game. You would give him away to keep Ailomai and Tago, both of whom are haven't even played first grade yet ???

                                That's a big call.
