      That's a big call.
its less of that and more of 'we cant keep them all, lets keep the best we have'. may sound a bit strange, but hear me out.

currently, next years prop stocks stand at jwh, moa, kennedy, tasi, tago, evans, napa and ailaomai. you cant keep eight props, there are other positions to fill. the most I would have in a 30 man squad would be 6. (6 WFB's, 4 CTR's, 5 HLF's, 2 HOK's, 6 FRF's, 7 BRF's)

lets say we have jwh and moa start, kennedy and tasi on the bench. where does that leave evans and napa? wasting at newtown, attracting interest from rival clubs. before you know it, evans has signed with souths and napa has signed with Brisbane. not to mention tago.

rather, we have jwh and moa start, with evans and napa off the bench, that way, they get game time (I believe they have more potential anyway), players like kennedy and tasi, who have had their chance, are moved on which frees up cap space, and players like tago and ailaomai play in reggies as depth.

I agree with Moga/Oldfield but Casty is a prop?

This Remy looks small, and his highlight video only shows him running into holes against piss weak ESL defensive lines, he will get a shock when he turns out against bigger and faster players in tighter defensive lines. Souths signed Geoff Lima who was 2011 man of steel in ESL but since being back he looks slow and off the pace, there is a huge difference in the forwards between ESL and NRL.
not being funny but your facts are way off, jeff lima was never the man of steel EVER! he had good patches in superleague and thats as far as it goes and he's doing well at souths. And i think the english forwards are showing up a lot of the aussie forwards this season,,, casty is running at the same defences that burgess x2, graham, ellis and moa ran at, also a few aussie forwards have been found wanting over in england.

But you are right there is probably only 6 or 7 teams who are at a good quality the others are just there to make up the numbers and keep a lot of the traditionalist fans happy

Most of the forwards who have come from the ESL have done pretty well.

Remi seems to be one of the better props over there so he should be good over here.

How do you rate him mate?

I stand corrected, Lima won the man of the match award with Wigan in the Grandfinal in 2011 and also won best and fairest that year. As for Pommie forwards, the three Burgess boys in the NRL have had two and three off season with Souths while Tom Burgess who was in Bradford Bulls regular 17 and played 60 ESL games for them, can't make Souths bench and has been re learning his game playing for Norths. I'm not saying that Remi will be a failure, I'm stating the risks associated with signing a 29 year old smallish forward on reasonable money who hasn't even played NRL yet. All the pommie players you have mentioned were proven internationals at the top of their game, and funny enough, Ellis, Graham and Burgess are all over 6 ft 2 and weigh in over 108kgs, a lot bigger built to handle the week to week rigors of NRL.

lol ok i will help you out, Lima won the man of the match in the challenge cup final becoming the lance todd trophy winner he never played in a grand final in super league. The twins are still pups its hardly no surprise they spent a few season developing and Tom Burgess never really ripped it up in super league not anywhere close to what George is doing in the NRL and Luke Burgess was unwanted by leeds and did fairly well for the souths before getting injured. But again i do agree with you there is all ways a risk in signing players from other comps but its not he's ability thats the risk its how he will settle down in sydney. From watching him for the past 6 or 7 years he looks shorter than Graham not by much but he is more stocky and no doubt a tough bloke as is most of the French forwards. He is French and their international team is on par with Samoa or Tonga so its hard for him to be proven at an international level but he is one of the top props in Superleague and if you asked most fans of the clubs in England who would the rather have Moa or Casty i think the majority would say Casty. Also i know full well Trent Robison really rates the bloke and it wont be a come chance your hand in the Nrl type deal he will expect him to perform as well as he can.

Not sure who told you that but he comes off contract next year.

Moa is already better than Kennedy. And by the sounds of it Remy has Moa covered so I can't wait to see this guy shutdown the middle of the field with brilliant defending and hard running.
