  • The Warriors Performance

Regardless of what fans thought of the way we played, I thought the Warriors were awesome last night.

There defence was like ours was early in the season. You could see the players all putting in and having a dig. I was a bit stunned - I didn't think Elliot could coach a side to defend like this and I have rarely seen a Warriors team put in such a committed performance for 80 minutes (especially away). If I wasn't a Roosters supporter, watching Shaun Johnson run down Jennings would've been a joy to watch. Two outright speedsters.

With talent spread evenly throughout the comp, it looks like defensive effort and technique will be the difference between winning and losing. Early in the year, that is what separated us from the rest.

I thought that it was the same old Warriors who just tightened up their defence.

Still had their hot and cold periods like the Warriors of old.

        Agreed mate.

Did we seem to get more repeat sets than ever before??? That second 1/2 especially we seemed to build pressure well but couldn't deliver.

I thought the Bros really defended their line well. We got frustrated and reverted back to what we do best, lose.

I will credit Elliot for a smart tactic. He seemed to attack our left all night. I'm guessing we prepared for them coming to our right and they pulled a sneaky and it worked.

I can't even at the SKiDmark anymore, he's the most out of form player I can remember playing first grade. Surely he's been given enough rope??? Will be interesting to see how the young coach handles his first major test.

        The FlogPen .

        You know it makes sense.
