Regardless of what fans thought of the way we played, I thought the Warriors were awesome last night.
There defence was like ours was early in the season. You could see the players all putting in and having a dig. I was a bit stunned - I didn't think Elliot could coach a side to defend like this and I have rarely seen a Warriors team put in such a committed performance for 80 minutes (especially away). If I wasn't a Roosters supporter, watching Shaun Johnson run down Jennings would've been a joy to watch. Two outright speedsters.
With talent spread evenly throughout the comp, it looks like defensive effort and technique will be the difference between winning and losing. Early in the year, that is what separated us from the rest.
