Spot on mate. I can't believe the amount of praise elliott is getting on this site
    Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Don't think it is praise...certainly not from me.

TBH I think Matty was probably the most shocked. He's probably wondering how the hell that happened....how do I do it again?

We should deadset have won that match last night. Their two trys in the second half came from nothing.

I wonder if the people on here have spoken to fans from the raiders or the riff and asked them how good a coach Elliott was with the talent that came through their club at the time. I know one passionate faiders fan who says elliott put their club ten years back from where they should have been with his time at their club.

The Gods were against us last night....combined with SKD. We were never going to win that comedy.

On Elliott.....no argument, but......even losers get lucky every now & then & come up with a beauty. His was last night.
As you say, we should have won that.
          Woulda, shoulda, coulda.....didn't

Everyone's bitching about how he took SBW off for 10 minutes. SBW last night spent most of his time in the middle third of the field. He made a heap of tackles and 150 odd metres. Had he not been rested he may have sustained an injury or pulled up sore for next week's game and we would have our most valuable player sitting on the sideline.
Half time was too late to change things around.. Elliot out thought him during the week..

Robbo got out thought last night..It was a good lesson to get before the finals..

Elliot is no super coach, but he had a game plan that was good enough to befuddle us..

Elliot would've pumped those bros up all week knowing if they defended well and frustrated us more than likely the brains trust of PearceOrf, SKiD and Mini would spill the cookies at the wrong time and panic and they'd out enthuse us.

It worked last night and it almost worked earlier in the year.

IMO Elliot played it exactly how we don't like it being played.

In fact they played very much like we did earlier in he year. Hold hold hold wait for the opposition to get frustrated and capitalise on it.

Sadly our decision makers aren't the best thinkers especially under pressure, Baloney included.

                Elliot showed his experience.

I don't think he was outcoached, it was more a case of our team being down on form. If we made the GF and our opponents were NZ, I'd be over the moon.

elliot knew enough about us to get the ball slowed down and stand up in our face offside , he also knew the refs will not give us a fair go! thats not coaching, just common sense?

But did you ever feel confident the way we were playing???

I didn't, they deserved those tries cos they were in our faces all night and worked very hard in defence. Much like we did earlier in the season.

                        The onepercinters.

You make your own luck especially if you're enthusiastic and defend well. All the form sides do.

Remember they got over the line twice earlier in that second 1/2 to be disallowed.

They outplayed us. If we'd have outplayed them youse would all be hailing Robbo as a freak.

I think Elliot has shown in both our games this season he knows how to play us and his players have executed quite well.

Ironically both games we've reverted to our bad old ways after becoming frustrated when we couldn't put them away.

He must be doing something right one would guess???

We were down on form because they didn't allow us to play the footy we wanted to play..

We all love what Robbo has done in transforming the side, but last night he had no answers for what Elliot had the Warriors throwing at us..

Credit for Elliot where it's due..

Robbo will learn a hell of a lot more from that loss than last weeks shitty win over Parra..

I too would be stoked if we met them in a GF..

                          Still love ya work Coggy..

And we had two by two different players in one qualifying final in 2010 in the space of 10 minutes.

As far as Elliott goes I am was as happy to see the back of him as I was Smith.
