stephenj, if he is 18th man he is still able to play for the Roosters on Friday night, its only if he is named in the first 17 he would miss our match on Friday night.

It's a lot easier to make the QLD side than the NSW side.
Telebubby wouldn't make the NSW schoolboys team.
            Ben Ikin played for QLD!

              I agree.

Strangely they win often with such a smaller talent pool, and so called lesser players.

Gotta be a reason for that.

They stick and move. It's very QLD.

We change and arrange. It's very NSW.

Our best origin period was when Gus was picking Cement and Wishart and Benny and Sirro etc.

QLD pick origin type players. NSW pick the flavour of the month too often.

Look at Inglis. I know he's a NSW born player but we'd have never selected him when QLD did. That's a fact.

MK isn't the best prop in the game, even our club but if he was selected he'd do the job QLD require. Like The Pillow, Bella, Ikin, Goddard etcetcetc, the list is endless.

Personally I believe they erred in game one. They went for mobility over size. But usually that's our game and they pick big boppers for origin which is a tighter game traditionally. I would have thought either/or MK and Lillyman would've got a run.

              You know it makes sense.

Confirmed 18th man, although I think we all knew that he was going to be there going by the rumours.

Queensland team: Billy Slater, Darius Boyd, Greg Inglis, Justin Hodges, Brent Tate, Johnathan Thurston, Cooper Cronk, Matt Scott, Cameron Smith (capt), Nate Myles, Chris McQueen, Sam Thaiday, Corey Parker. Interchange: Daly Cherry-Evans, Matt Gillett, Ben Te'o, Josh Papalii, Martin Kennedy.

Anyone else shocked by that side???

Less size than the first game.

For years now we've picked a team of back rowers and QLD have gone with size, and it's worked.

Origin is usually very tight and won by the team that can roll down the field better and execute the clutch play.

They should win still but it's an interesting tactic that may play into our favour.

I'm quite surprised. I can only assume that Cronk is carrying something more sinister than a few bumps and bruises, as was suggested for him missing Sundays game. For DCE to be named on the bench, they are either intending to rest Smith (very improbable), or think they genuinely need cover for Cronk.

Parker & Papalii for McCauley Culkin & The Pillow is not unexpected.

Hmmm, just thinking .... Robbo might decide he needs someone who can train with the team this week to play on Friday night. With the short turn-around already a factor in preparations, do we really need to have our starting prop missing all week as well?

Moa back to the starting side, and bring in The Undertaker !!

Pillow gone, and now they seem to have a team full of backrowers. That ploy got NSW no where over the last 7 years.

I would've thought the polar bear Hannant would've been ahead of MK, anyway congrats to Marty, he's playing heaps better & is coming back from his injury slowly but surely.

                            I think he's injured isn't he mate???

But yep BundyBear or Davatar surely must've been looked at on size and experience alone???

I guess we hope they have pulled the wrong rein for once.

as 18th man, he only comes into the squad if a fwd is injured? so hes ok to play with us next game? but at least he gets a jersey? this compliment alone will raise mks standards to a higher level! confidence and recognition we all crave it as humans?
