I'm pretty sure if Burgess groped an innocent female he would have been de-registered.

NORTH Queensland Cowboys NRL captain Johnathan Thurston has been charged with public drunkenness after reportedly locking himself out of his house.
Thurston, 24, was arrested as he was trying to get back into his Townsville home on Saturday, ABC radio reported.
Cowboys chief executive Peter Parr said the rugby league club would consider disciplinary action against Thurston, but it was unlikely his captaincy was under threat.

His own house.
On his own property, and the cops arrested and charged him.
Ferguson has already had his contract deregistered by the NRL...hasn't even appeared in court yet.
Burgess has not.
Both have been charged with criminal offences.
Alan Jones, 2GB 8.56am today;
"George Burgess, good family that one, has been charged, has admitted guilt and is working with the police...well done young man".
And what about the Ferguson family, aren't they good too?

But to suggest Ferguson was de-registered because of his race is just ridiculous. Remember your hero Toddy Carney? He went through more or less the same thing as Ferguson is now and I would suggest it had nothing to do with his race and everything to do with the same reason Ferguson finds himself in the mess he is in now - alcohol and an inability to act in a socially appropriate manner when under the influence of it.
Burgess is not.
Simple really.

Apologetic South Sydney forward George Burgess has been stood down by the ladder-leading NRL club after being charged with two counts of wilful damage following an incident in Cairns early on Monday.
South Sydney said in a statement on Tuesday that the English star had admitted guilt and was cooperating with police over the incident.
The club stood Burgess down pending further investigation and was working with the NRL's Integrity Unit to decide what penalty should be imposed on him.
The incident happened several hours after South Sydney's win over Gold Coast in Cairns on Sunday.

Queensland police said they charged a 21-year-old NSW man with ramming a sign through the window of a car.
Police alleged he used a sign found in the street to smash the rear window, damaging a vehicle in Redlynch, an outer suburb of Cirns about 2.45am (AEST) on Monday.
Burgess is to front Cairns Magistrates Court on July 10.
He issued a statement through the club on Tuesday, apologising for his behaviour.
"I would like to apologise unreservedly to the Rabbitohs' members, sponsors and everyone in the community," Burgess said.
"I have let my team and my family down.
"I acknowledge that I am a role model for kids and I will do everything I can to restore my reputation through working harder in the community.
"It is my responsibility to ensure that this type of behaviour does not happen again.
"I will learn from my mistake and bounce back stronger and better as a person."
The Burgess incident was another black eye for rugby league, coming a day after NSW State of Origin winger Blake Ferguson was charged with indecent assault following an incident with a female patron at a bar in Cronulla on Sunday night.

Ferguson's contract was de-registered because it is not the first (or even second or third time) the bloke has been in trouble for alcohol related issues.

Before this big bang.
Smith said Ferguson's registration had been suspended over repeated behavioural issues involving alcohol by the 23-year-old, who was earlier this year stood down by the Raiders, fined and ordered to undergo counselling after another drinking session with Dugan.
“The fans do not want to see the game tarnished and neither do the players,” Smith said from Brisbane, where he was attending Monday night's Broncos-Tigers match.
“It's time for people to understand that the game isn't going to accept this sort of behaviour. The first step in Blake's case is to make a clear call in relation to Origin, and tomorrow we will consult with the Raiders to determine the minimum period we would look at in terms of suspension.
“We have worked closely with both the NSWRL and the Canberra Raiders during this process, and there remains genuine concern for the welfare of the player. We will offer every support to address any issues but there also has to be a clear deterrent.”

#####
Ferguson is also to front a court about the same time.
He hasn't even been found guilty of any wrongdoing yet and already his NRL contract has already been deregistered.
He hasn't just been suspended by his club and the NRL.
Watch Burgess' contract not be deregistered, and he get a slap on the wrist.

This is a REPEAT offence some 12 weeks later.
And it's a NSW thing seeing that's who he's representing.
And there's a FEMALE involved allegedly.
Why am I bothering.
