  • Moga named for NYC

Moga named at right centre for under 20's. Tick tock SKD.

I wouldn't want to rush the big fella back unless he is 100% Dubai.
Hard to get over those sorts of injuries both physically and mentally.
Agree with you on SKD, Robbo is showing a lot of patience with him.
If we had someone capable of taking over I think the change would have come.

dont get me wrong im not a skd fan but moga on his performances when in f/g
needs to improve a lot to live up to the wraps on him, i thought his defence was very suspect and remember his coming off a reco
so dont go overboard on him just yet..

Exciting... but don't expect too much too soon.

Fingers crossed for the big fella.

Willis Meehan can not play NYC this weekend as he has been selected in the NSW Under 18's in the second row, and all players selected for that game that play NYC have been stood down for this weekend. Taane Milne was also selected for the NSW Under 18's but Newington have not given him permission to play and he has therefore reluctantly withdrawn. Due to his rugby union committments we ae unlikely to see Milne at the Roosters now till nex season.

It is significant that he has been chosen as right centre, given he has played at left centre since 2010 but apart from getting some miles in his legs and gaining confidence, I'm sure the coaches would want to also see how he is reading defences and what sort of workrate he has, particularly in taking the ball up from within our own half. He is an exceptional talent but it takes time to get over such an injury. He will need another offseason to be back to his very best but if he's to press for first grade selection this year I can't see it happening for at least six weeks. Rounds 15-17 in NYC and Rounds 18-19 for Newtown would be the best case scenario.

I was wondering why they were on top of the GPS. They dominate the recent GPS selections, so is he and half the side on scholarship there?

I'm not expecting too much from him mate. Not only is he young and still learning the game like you said he is coming back from a serious injury.

He would have to do something very special to get a spot in the centres in first grade.

One of the Parramatta NYC players is also in that Newington side.

There's a long way to go for Moga before he's a Test player.

                              Maybe Guerra will replace him?

Be interesting seeing him in the centres.
