I have the version of events amongst the player split, it will definitely come out and those of us close to the club will definitely hear it, it is no suprise to who is at the centre of it...
I dont envy Brian Smiths job at all, their are bigger issues in our squad than just a lack of talent in certain positions, the squad as a whole does not get along and a few players will be shopped around to help bond the squad.. The squad doesnt get along and their are a few big reasons for it...
For mine Smith has a HUGE job and doesnt deserve any ciriticism regardless of results in 2010Last edited by redrooster; 10-07-2009, 08:17 PM.

redrooster, what you posted there explains a whole lot to me with respect to how the season panned out.
Disharmony must have played its part in the rubbish that the "team" offered up on a regular basis?
Good luck Brian and I for one won't be giving you a hard time for season 2010."The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

I just asked for the full story. Which we still haven't heard from anyone so I'm not sure anyone is 100% right. Lots of rumour, media beat up and innuendo, but I still haven't seen any black and white information naming Willie in the betting scandal, nor have I seen anything other than an agenda filled article yesterday claiming the club wants Willie to go to Japan... a rumour might I add thats been around for over a year now... certainly nothing new.

If Mason stays, Brian Smith should not be spending any excessive time with him. He should be concentrating on the young blokes whose futures are in front of them, not the players who are nearing the end of their careers.
If Mason won't mould to the Smith style with minimal fuss, I'm sure he will be shaking hands with the Jets coach. Smith doesn't tend to suffer fools gladly.
