I think people assume the defensive work just gets done and it doesn't really matter who's doing it but someone has to pick up that workload and it's usually a front rower or Jake Friend. Extra workload will lead to fatigue and fatigue will lead to less output in attack which is what everyone will notice and you just know there'll be a new whipping boy because his 'form has dropped off in the last few weeks'.
The fact that since the Storm game Marty has started to really contribute to our go forward made him a really important part of our forward pack, it's actually the first time I've seen Robbo really disappointed in a press conference. Usually he's all just about the process and keep on moving forward but he genuinely seemed concerned about the loss. Had this injury happened a month ago I might have agreed with you but it's a bigger loss than a lot of people think.
Liu gets a good chance to stand up, he was great defensively against the Bulldogs.

Well we will see who is right and who is wrong, Kennedy is a big bloke at 190cm and 120kg, his size will be missed in our pack, especially when we play the bigger packs. I for one believe we are short of experienced props and hope his loss doesn't come back to haunt us in the near future.

Do us a favour and stop looking at stats to get your opinion across. Watch the Farkin replays for gods sake.
While I'm not a huge fan of MK, he has shown some improvement. He may have 'the stats' showing he is 2nd in the tackle count, how many are of him being third man in and wrapping the legs up? Do you really consider that a tackle?
He may be racking up the meters too but I saw him take I think 2 kick off returns for probably around 20-30 meters in total and a drop out with about 20m return. There's close to 50m there. Facts are he struggles to bend the line still but there are no stats to show that now is there
