When in the history of this game have you seen any team wearing advertising for a movie? Mind you, it's the greatest superhero movie I've ever seen and Marvel should just give the hell up now, but last night Souths were advertising a movie.

If there isn't something seriously wrong with that then I must be watching another sport.

We should get John Polsen to get Tropfest as our sleeve sponsor, Darlinghurst is still within the Eastern Suburbs isn't it??

You know Spy, the only myth here is the Term State of Origin.

I don't even bother watching, it is just all about Queensland.

With a bloke from NSW (QLD's biggest star) putting his hands up + controlling the QLD chants during the last 20 minutes.

Sorry but Origin has lost it's way even worse than the ALP when Julia took over (and I vote Labor.)

If NSW lose this year I say we can it.

I always believed that 2010 was Carney in career best form and serious luck, whether it be that field goal or SKD intercepting that pass.

SKD intercepting that pass on his 2013 form would be considered lucky but back then he was also in career best form and top tryscorer in the competition.
Luck played little part in the success of the team in 2010 the refs certainly did us no favours. We were the most penalised team in the competition that year and also received the least penalties. But we kept winning against the odds.
We made our own luck that year by not dropping our heads when dubious refereeing calls went against us. There were about four or five games that year when a bad refs call should have killed any chance of a comeback but we refused to lose hope and came away with a miracle win. Luck in the final against the Tigers would have awarded us a penalty for Dwyer attacking the head of JWH (penalty, two points game over). Instead we forced the turnover from the scrum and the rest is history.
SBW is a player with the talent and ability to inspire the same confidence and belief that Carney did in 2010 when lifted the previous year's wooden spooners to a grand final. All teams need luck in regards to injuries etc. but with the team we are fielding this year all we need is a fair go from the refs.

No-one seems to understand what is acceptable on field conduct now and what is worthy of a sendoff, sinbinning or penalty in Origin. I'm just watching the Sunday Footy Show and there are 4 of the most experienced and talented Origin stars in history being Freddy, Sterlo, Andrew Johns and Darren Lockyer all debating about what should and should not have happened regarding the sinbinnings etc. If these guys are confused, what hope do the rest of us civilians have of getting some fair enjoyment out of watching it these days? Keep moving the goalposts and the fans will become jaded..
