I always hear that players selected from your team to play origin grow another leg when they return to their club sides. Well since being selected for origin 1 all I have heard is how Maloney is awesome, Maloney is calm blah blah blah. All of our origin players form has gone backwards since they were selected for the first game. Pearce looks nervous and Jennings looks stoned. Origin my arse, I couldn't give a damn about it and now Maloney is injured to top it all off. Stand these games by themselves...

I don't know about myths but Ill give you 2 facts about origin: #1 Drives up their price so you can't hang onto them cause of the cap.#2 Higher probability of injury 2003 Hodges, Fitzy & wing, now Maloney. Origin= Horsesh@t.

All I remember about Origin is that when Freddy played it, we went okay but never made the big one.

He retired and we won it in 2002.

We will not win the comp this year, barring Souths being found out to be doing doggie style financials.

That's a bit harsh considering our position at the moment. Who honestly thought we'd make the 2010 GF or that Manly would beat the Rorts 40-0 in 2008?

I always believed that 2010 was Carney in career best form and serious luck, whether it be that field goal or SKD intercepting that pass.

Johnny, I think that luck plays a massive part in winning any comp.
if we win this comp it will be on the back of our defence. If we get through the origin period with minimal injuries and Robbo can get the focus back we will be in a good spot to build some momentum towards the finals. We had a dip in form, so have melb and manly. That other mob can't be up for the whole season it just doesn't happen. IMO that's the 4 teams that will fight it out. I have no doubt that on our day we can beat them all in the big matches. Of course we are going to need some serious luck though

When in the history of this game have you seen any team wearing advertising for a movie? Mind you, it's the greatest superhero movie I've ever seen and Marvel should just give the hell up now, but last night Souths were advertising a movie.

If there isn't something seriously wrong with that then I must be watching another sport.

The Melbourne Storm wore a Dark Knight batman jersey last year AND a superman jersey earlier this year.

Souths' superman sponsorship wasn't the movies first choice, and instead was tacked on by Crowe who no doubt begged for it and offered up his club's jersey for a pittance after the Storm were the team who actually got approached and got paid for it

I think the dogs advertised a movie last year, and I'm pretty sure souffs have done a few. Personally it doesn't bother me couldn't give a fark what's on there jersey
