He could be R6's alter ego. They both love MinDog.

I'm not sure why an appreciation (or otherwise) of a players performance in one game is somehow related to a previous discussion on this forum about whether the club decides to offer, or not offer, the player another contract beyond his 34th birthday. There is a lot more to consider when determining a future roster (balance, cost, development etc.). On balance I'd much prefer the club not to offer him a contract, and whether he has a string of games with limited errors is not going to change my opinion on that, and I doubt it will effect others who have concluded that it is in the clubs best interests for him to retire.

He is not going to somehow discover the ability to match the qualities I'd like in a player to occupy one of the three back positions in our backline. I don't see that this is an agenda. It is just an opinion that we will be best served in the future with other players filling that spot in the roster, and it is a legitimate point of view that many people hold.

What though is an agenda is the fact that you continually post the same long drawn out diatribe saying the same thing over and over again about the same subject

Do tell us who are these others of actual importance from within the club unlike yourself That have already allegedly concluded that it is in the clubs best interests for Mini not to go on beyond this year

            Mini was faaabulous tonite!
He really was. Look at all those bombs and other kicks under pressure he took without error.
RTS needs to show that same skill before he can claim the fullback spot permanently.

Mini is playing much better than he has in the past. Whether he goes or stays I am not going to be devastated either way, bit if he does go it would be good to see him go with a decent season like this as opposed to the idiot years (coach fitter years).

I watched the replay again last night after being at the game.

Mini was again outstanding...his positional play in defusing their kicks and even his own grubber in goal and getting a restart was great.

In a 3-2-1 points situation I would have trifectad him Jake and jwh.

Seriously, if the biggest criticism of Mini is that he doesn't break the line when he kick returns, then I think he's doing alright, I mean I sure don't see too many other fullbacks breaking the line when they return kick either, who does it on a regular basis??? There's normally a wall of 4 or 5 defenders & little chance of getting through that wall, sure Inglis & Slater might get through occasionally, but it is a rarity, anyway Mini did get through G.Stewart last night on one kick return, he was also flawless in nearly all of the other facets of his game last night, I particularly like how he is not overplaying his hand anymore, we'll done club legend Mini!

                      RTS already has shown it.

One thing you blokes dont get is even the man himself acknowledges his time at Number 1 is drawing to a close. If he is to be re-signed, it MUST be to play wing. If not, then he can hold his head up as a true Legend of the game and the club. To think he should carry on at fullback, is insane, given the freak we have being wasted on the wing. A freak that, with time and space in front of him, would make Barba look like a statue.

lol @ calling kick returns 'selective movements'. It's a fundamental role for a fullback, it's the bread and butter.

I think Big Arty made a valid point in response to your dribble about this Go back find it I cannot be bothered repeating it

He has improved enormously in the last few matches. He took a scream of a kick in the final minutes which may have led to a manly try.

He has also improved his passing game.
                            Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Big Arty argued a point I never made, anyone can look good doing that.
