If he was to play the prelim final I would expect him to be off the crutches in less than 2 weeks.

We could lose SBW, JWH, Friend, Jennings and Maloney and STILL win the comp.
We're the greatest ever and will win 12 consecutive Premierships.
Down with objectivity. Long live blind loyalty!!

I'm almost certain we'll make it to the Prelims.
But from that point on, as history has shown many times when you have teams of almost equal quality, it's often an injury here or there that makes the difference. It's no coincidence that when Penrith won in 2003, their 1, 6, 7 & 9 played every minute of every game. The same goes for the Tigers in 2005.
And I think Boyd is so crucial to our team in so many ways. His left edge combination with Pearce has seen him carve teams up, scoring tries at will. He also makes vital metres coming out of our own half with gritty hit ups. His defence is faultless and his leadership qualities hugely underrated. He's one of those rare players that makes the blokes to his left or right better players through his presence.
I rate this kid as a genuine future all-time great if injury is kind to him.
As such, can we beat any double combo of Souths, Melbourne and Manly in the Prelim & GF without him? I would think unlikely. Unless they're missing players of equal importance, Souths - Burgess, Manly - Glenn Stewart.
I couldn't care less if people don't like my pessimism. I call it realism. Besides, I'm a fan and not a ****ing player so I can afford to be pessimistic and lower my expectations.Last edited by Tommy Smith; 09-03-2013, 05:02 PM.

We need him back ASAP..
