Picked on the bench for the Australian Schoolboys team today. Hastings was picked at 7.

      This is the reference:

"He'd beat Sonny Bill Williams for sure. Willis has been beating proper fighters while they stop Sonny's bouts a couple of rounds early if he looks like getting beaten."

The point is there is no need for this to have been said. Bouts? What - more than one? Sure Botha is past his best but how many boxers
these days would take Tyson/Ali/Holyfield/Lewis/Frazier/Norton to the cleaners?

Proper fighters - give me a break.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

Above all, it is just great to see another young talent come through. Being a boxer, his discipline should be second to none. I wish him all the best, and hope to see him killing it in 1st grade in a few years.

Botha's camp were told before the fight how many rounds it was going to be, it is amazing how that little fact is always overlooked! Plus Botha was on steroids!

As you point out 007, the list of fighters that Botha has taken on shows that he is no mug as a fighter.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

          Here's looking at you, kid.

Personally I think it was just a feel good story about a special young talent. Especially when I myself have witnessed first hand the other way it could have gone. He's always been a big lump of a lad but had anger issues at school. I know this because my daughters went to school on the central coast with him. Let's just say that certain social programmes that have been instigated in schoolyards in recent years had lads like Willis firmly in their sights. He most certainly is a changed boy because the only time I had the fortune of meeting him was when he approached my daughters and I at westfield Tuggerah around christmas last year, apologised to them for being an "arsehole at school" and then to me for causing any grief. Impressive young man with a very impressive handshake. My fingers have finally healed. As to the references to Sonny Bill's fighting prowess and credentials, who gives a shit. The story is about Willis.
