Easts recruiting is terrible..

We should of stuck with Omeley or even gone for Mat Scott the cowboys prop way before we even thought about picking up Ryles..

O'Meley has broken down more often than Ryles in recent years.

O'Meley's form has been on a steady decline, while Ryles is regularly around 130-150 metres on average.

There were no other experienced props off contract.

Ryles will be signed on a two-year deal, and he will hopefully be given the same role Nutley (2007) and O'Meley (2008 ...2009 was a write-off) were given , and that is to simply make the hard yards that blokes like Nuuausala are Waerea-Hargreaves probably aren't up to making yet at this stage in their careers. A bit more go-forward from our own half would give attacking forwards like Mason, Symonds and Anasta more room to attack the edges too.

Could be an astute signing, could be a dud.

After watching last night the kid Souths signed is the real deal, he will take some time but I wish we had him that's for sure

Moz has been and gone, Ellis is with the tigers, peackock is too old now, and Burgess is with Souffs and crabtree, too old.

In principle yes, but killing two birds with one stone by swapping sa for ryles is a good move, if ryles can average 100 mtrs a game and make 20 tackles which he done at a minimum every week at the dragons, it puts us in good stead, look at our lot this year, you could count on one hand how many times our forwards had that workload.

Oh yeh those pommy forwards were awesome. As soon as Australia became complacent a few of them started to step up but they can't handle fast moving defences and fast ball movement. Like Gould said English Rugby League is going backwards, not forwards.
