Interesting to note that Stanley plays together in the same team as Dan Randall, a centre from last year's NYC team. The signing of Stanley continues to strengthen the NYC team next year as well which will be a very strong team.

O'Sullivan is certainly doing his job and is continually recruiting young players who have either just finished their last season of NYC or a only a few years into their NRL career with the exception of Phil Graham. Next year we will have a good amount of depth players in both the NYC and NSW Cup who can step up to the NRL if need be.

Maybe fast for his size, but doesn't look like a speed demon...

Greg Inglis looks just as chubby if not more yet he can certainly gallop.

Word is he is 20 so will be too old for NYC next year.

Ahern is gone, word is he has signed a one-year contract with the Broncos.
You can't expect someone who has never played First Grade to walk straight in to the backrow and handle it without difficulties... I expect one of those 3 to possibly become a regular benchie.. The other 2 may get the odd game here or there.. You should never have high expectations of players who have played no higher than NYC or park football.. The step up is enourmous.

Mini and Perrett on opposite wings = FAR too short. We will be outjumped. We need at least one of Ryan Williamson, Sandor Earl or Shaun Kenny-Dowall on the wing so that at least we have someone to compete for the aerial ball. Perrett deserves the other wing spot.

Also, I think that Paea will have his last year with us next year, before I think that the younger brigade of Myles, Nuuausala and Hargreaves replace him.
Earl is awfully pedestrian.. Completely out of his depth in First Grade.. Surely Phil Graham has been signed to play on the Wing.. His defence is not great in the Centres and he is not really a tackle busting runner... More someone who can get on the outside of a compressed defence and go the distance.. His height also helps on the Wing...

I've actually been impressed with Earl since he has come back from first grade. He obviously benefited from his run in the top grade and now I just have to think he was thrown into first grade too early. He since came back down to the NYC and really impressed me, although he did move in from wing to the centres. He looked really comfortable there.

Exactly, some of our 'young guns' may become a consistent first graders in a few years. Others may not play NRL at all.

I'd rather our young forwards spend a year or so at Newtown after the NYC to toughen them up before they play regular NRL.

Our team is already young enough without thinking about adding 4-5 NYC graduates to the mix in 2010.

2011 maybe, but not 2010. We need this year's debutants to mature for a year or so first before blooding the next lot.
