I know at club level Jimmy bangs the goals over from all over the park Something Pearce cannot do So straight away there is a real difference

Wow Andy. You are a SMART COOKIE. Pity he couldn't bang it over from all over the park the other night hey? Pearce had a dig, Maloney was a passenger. Now that is the difference. We lose Sonny and the points will dry up with those 2 in the halves.

We saw Pearce trying to kick a goal against Manly If we are ever going to be missing one of them I sure hope it is Pearce. Mortinmer can more than compensate for him and we still have our sharp shooter to kick our goals

Surely you are not that thick to think any different

Spell it out for us thick heads Andy. Mortimer should take Pearces spot? And Maloney warrants his position because he kicks goals. Is that what your are saying Andy?

Baloney PearceOrf Mortein all cut from the same cloth.

            Good tough solid club footballers.

But shakey under pressure and not in the outright X-factor/brilliance category.

            It's about balance. I dig.

Thank fark for $BW and RTS is all I can add.

Doing fine for us and until he stuffs up in the red, white and blue then who cares

I dont see what is funny about that seeing a goal is worth half as much as a try A good goal kicker can win you games a bad one can you lose you them In fact you really show a poor knowledge of the whole game with this comment

Mate I have nothing against Baloney, I enjoy watching him play for us.

Doesn't change the fact R6 was correct.

In answering R_6 question if/when SBW leaves do we have the playmaking ability to get us over the line in the premiership race? This year and the next probably no.

From 2015 Langi might go towards bridging the vast void once Sonny-Bill goes. Also Jake Friend IMO is rapidly develping into one of the premier dummy halfs in the game and with RTS from the back with Langi floating between lock and 5/8th, Pearce and Maloney although not genius playmakers will not be required to be if Friend, Langi and RTS provide a fair percentage of the clutch plays. Therfore, I think we will have that base covered.

I haven't seen Jackson Hastings (has he signed with us???), so cannot give an opinion on Horrie Jnr.

Honestly, what's with this rubbish 'X-factor' nonsense. How many halves have it... Thurston, Marshall, DCE, Johnson? How many of the teams containing these players have premierships. How many of these teams are genuine premiership chances; actually, how many are even in the top eight? Even DCE still wouldn't be the player he is without Foran.
It's all about the balance of the team and discipline. The Dragons proved it for a couple of years and won a flag.
You can't replace SBW. You can just hope that he is influential enough to instil the self-belief in the other guys to perform to their ability.

Its to do with having basically a like for like player in the halves. DCE and Foran compliment each other very well. Even Reynolds/Sutton. It does really depend on a good team balance, however Sonny will win us some tight games, our halves will not. Jimmy is 1000% better than his predecessor, however I have my doubts if and when Sonny leaves, who steps up?

True his missed kick from the sideline was ultimately the difference But seeing it was from the sideline I will cut him some slack for the miss Like I would any other goal kicker who misses from that position

I nortice Thurston also missed one from that same position in fact it was about 5 metres further in field

RTS will have to and it all sort of ties in with this whole 'spine' mentality.
Have a think about some of the teams that have given the premiership a nudge over the past five years. Eels, Bulldogs, Melb, Manly, Dragons. Apart from Manly, none of these teams had overly great halves, but they did have freakish fullbacks (yes, Darius was very good in this period) that had competent ability to link in much like Sonny does.

But the penalty Shandy, what about the crucial penalty???

You just know if PearceOrf gave that one away you'd have been all over him like flies on a freshly laid steamer.
