    Precisely. Look at

Glenn Stewart is 180 cm and 97 kgs.

Chris Bailey is 188 cm and 96 kgs.

Nathan Smith is 186 cm and 95 kgs.

David Stagg is 183 cm and 95 kgs.

Gary Warburton is 185 cm and 96 kgs.

Alan Tongue is 180 cm and 87 kgs.

Ash Harrison is 188 cm and 97 kgs.

Matt Hilder is 184 cm and 94 kgs.

Dallas Johnson is 183 cm and 92 kgs.

Corey Parker is 188 cm and 96 kgs.

Alex Glenn is 181 cm and 92 kgs.

Shane Rodney is 185 cm and 97 kgs.

Todd Lowrie is 187 cm and 98 kgs.

Luke Lewis is 186 cm and 94 kgs.

Ben Lowe is 188 cm and 98 kgs.

Shannon McPherson is 185 cm and 95 kgs.

Michael Luck is 187 cm and 98 kgs.

Dean Young isn't the biggest bloke either.

Modern forwards are not always big blokes, Baiteri and Morbs could fit the mould very well, at least until Leilua and Cordner are both ready.

As with Maubs, 95kg is perfect for him.

Lets not fantasize about the perfect world where every forward is 6,2" and 110 kg.
no i agree but all im saying is that their respective builds (as you have identified that shouldnt get too much bigger) isnt big enough to play on the edges of the ruck and be effective. I didnt say 110kgs etc but to play on the edges you have got to be at least 185cm and 100kgs or built more like a forward (gallen and laffranchi) whereas baiteri is built like dallas johnson except a little bit bigger up top and maubs is built like a back so neither would cut it on the edges thats why im asking out loud who should get the heads up for that spot etc. Macks stats confirm this point as you will find that the blokes of similar height to these two play exclusively at lock not on the edges.

We aren't after a lock who runs the edges are we ? We already have a plethora of 2nd rowers who can do that. We are lacking a mobile lock who will do all the clean-up work around the middle.

For mine, Dallas johnson is the best lock in the competition and that is exactly what his job is.

Actually, Parramatta are succeeding more by having TWO mobile defenders (Nathan Hindmarsh and Ben Smith) to go with Mateo attacking on both edges.

Mayhe we can have Mason attacking both edges, and Morbs and Baiteri providing rugged roving defense.

Mack, hopefully Mason won't figure in 2010 and the Roosters can begin to reclaim their own culture that was best typified by 2002.

Then we can have Cherrington or Symonds attacking both fringes, with Baiteri and Aubusson as defenders.

Myles in the backrow = too sluggish.

Is Baitieri ready for FG? I really hope Cherro lives up to his potential and forgets about "bein' a gangsta" ...
Symonds is class and I agree with respect to Myles, he is a prop and a good one at that.
What becomes of Daniel Conn though?

What a myth, why do Queensland play him there... if he's good enough for Queensland then surely he's good enough for us?

Both baiteri and maubs are too small for backrow so they are both genuine locks, what would be the go considering maubs doesnt have a spot in the backline or at least wont once blair, williamson, linett, moeakiola du plessis and this new young country kid we just signed make the grade.
I'd say leave Mitch Aubusson in the centres at the moment as we continue to develop our young centres in Kane Linnett and Ryan Williamson in the NSW Cup and NYC respectively. Also throw Sisa Waqa in contention for a centre spot as I think with good early ball and room to move, he could cause a lot of damage. A simple cut out to Pearce from the ruck and another cut out from Pearce to Waqa would be a simple but very effective way of bringing somebody with Waqa's size and pace into the game. But once one of these guys develop into a strike centre at the least than we should move Mitch Aubusson into the backrow. Yes we will have a very good backline in a couple of years with the likes of Blair, Williamson, Linnett, Moeakiola and Du Plessis but at the moment I only think Williamson, Linnett and Moeakiola would be in line to contest for a spot in the backline early next year, and throw in Earl, Towers and Waqa into that as well.

On the issue of size, I really don't think it is a big matter. There might not be much of Baiteri but the kid's heart is bigger than most of our current team's and that's all that matters. He doesn't ever take a backward step, he punches well above his weight and I'm just over the moon to think we've signed him. In 2007, IMO I had him as the second best player in his age group (behind Folau), and that was a fair assessment considering I had seen the gun players his age run around as well (Daniel Penese, Daniel Mortimer, Kevin Proctor, Chase Stanley etc.) IMO he has the whole package, attributes such as ball-playing ability when it's needed, does all the hard work, can play 80 minutes and is versatile enough to play all the positions in the forward except hooker.
