We get it, he played shit for the Blues, nobody is saying he was brilliant, but he's pretty damn good for us and that's all that should matter. If you can't see that he's good for Easts you're blind.
Fair go, he must have really done something awful to get you all this upset.
Where have i said he's not good for Easts? I said there are aspects of his game that can be improved in club football. Ie being less frantic, more patient and more composed. How is that not constructive?
I have given constant constructive criticism of his game in the past.

Where did i suggest Carney should be a suitable replacement?
Carney has choked in big games in the past. Not once was he on my mind to be selected.
A bit random to bring him up don't you think?
Why don't you bring up Soward from 2 years ago whilst you're at it?

I think Pearce as a utitlity substitute would be a good move
Maybe what you suggested for NSW is worth considering, who knows.Originally posted by turk-283Kurt 79 - Kags 0..

Mind you if a direct swap was done with Mortimer and Pearce I dont think we wold lose anything Not that it will happen and nor should it as Pearce has not played badly enough to at club level to warrant this Just an opinion I have on the team thoughWhen you trust your television

His last club match against Manly here we are 80 seconds to go last tackle all we need is a decent kick Yet he kicks it straight into a Manly player Fortunately Guerra got backed and mopped it up and had he not been there then I think Manly would have scored under the posts and levelled the game
Pearce does some good things but he lets himslef down and undoes all the good work he does do with the diabolical errors he makes pretty much on a weekly basisWhen you trust your television

As for what you said about him at Easts: "Even in club footy it's evident these problems persist; highlighted by hospital passes".
That is just plain bullshit, he is not frantic in club football, we are sitting in second for fuucks sake, and he has played a big role in that. He is not perfect, he is not Andrew Johns, he makes mistakes, and there are areas to improve on, but he is easily one of the better halfbacks going around in the NRL, he runs our side very nicely. There are people on here (not you) saying he makes "diabolical errors" on a "weekly basis" that undo all of his good work (see the post above this one). Pure and simple, that is absolute garbage, if it was remotely true we wouldn't be in second.
There are too many on here who sit back quietly while we win games and as soon as Pearce trips up stick the knives in.
Even PWN has acknowledged that as long as Pearce is good for Easts he's happy; seems that isn't enough for some of you.
I ask you again, tell us all who you would've picked at halfback, and how you'd beat QLD.Last edited by BlindFreddy; 07-18-2013, 10:01 PM.
