Say what you will about the situation or Bouris, but it even had farian teared up. The man has such great
integrity..good on him for publicly supporting Mitch. Shows great character.

really good to see someone of his stature support pearce. I really get sick to death of the average league fan bag him and use him as a scape goat. its just too easy and simple minded to jump on that bandwagon and really pisses me off.

I'd be embarrassed as all **** by that if I were Pearce, personally.

I mean what possible good is posting that letter publicly going to do? The only outcome is just giving more ammo for the media and opposition fans alike to keep stretching the issue over another week.

The kid ****ed up ROYALLY on wednesday. There is no denying that. He is a grown man will just have to deal with it. I've got no problem at all with the club throwing their support behind him, but do it in private. No need to drag the poor bloke's name through the papers even longer

          Hey Mitch,
I am very proud of you, mate. I am proud because you played your heart and body to exhaustion like you do every week. I am proud of you because you committed publicly to you team mates and those you represent without worrying about the consequences of losing. That was a risk and you are now bruised from it .

It's the same as the way you play, you will commit to defend and attack whoever is in front of you and take the consequences later. Not many do that.I am proud of you because you will back up and do it again this week and won't complain. You, as usual will dust yourself off, regather and lead your team mates around the field and lead by example.

You see, footy, indeed life, is not just about the skill of ‘can I kick on a sixpence?’ or ‘can I land every pass where I want it?’. That's just dressing. It's really about courage, endurance, attitude, the ability to back up, strength of character and leadership. That’s right, it’s ultimately about character. That very essence of humanity. That fundamental element that makes some rise above the rest.

You have been endowed with more than most and practice it every day. Indeed, there is hardly a player ever at Origin level who doesn’t have a load of it. You have more than most. All of which you display every week, every training session and it walks along side of you even when you walk in a room. I know because I have experienced that when you walk into my company.Your family is proud of you, your Club is proud of you and most of all – your teammates are proud of you.

I saw the messages from Sonny and Jared and Frank-Paul and son I tell you what, I rarely get emotional but that solidarity off the field really charged me up and tells me you have respect from the highest levels. So remember, when all around you seems to be buzzing and some begrudgers are bagging you the only ones that count are your family and your footy family . In your case that's an army of people and one that is unbeatable!
Thanks for being an inspiration to me today Mitchell.

          Regards,Mark Bouris

He is like that too... I don't know much of him but taught his kids at Cranbrook so have met him a few times.

Exactly the type of guy we need directing our club... successful in his own right but humble, supportive and down to earth.

Thanks Mark and even more thanks Mitch!!!!

Roosters will get the rings in 2013 because of these boys. I'd also love to see JWH and SBW's letter.

FWIW JWH and SBW both played their "first senior footy" in NSW. GI's pretenders would have been crushed if we had the 2 of them out there on Wednesday night. QLD's lucky we're not scum who'll do anything to win like they are...

Personally I dont care either way about this letter being made public However people management can be done just as effectively behind closed doors

Yes such a show of support must be so embarassing for him.

Serioulsy though its to great uo see such solidarity & unity within the club. Sure makes a change from the last couple of years.

I would of rather the letter come from an ex player or coach,

pearce is a man, im sure he doesnt need everybody making a fuss over his performances. He doesnt choose to get picked, coaches pick him.

Origin is over and will probably makin him tougher mentally. The workload at the chooks is shared a bit more so he can just fit back in. Although with sonny out, the focus will be well and truley on pur halves.

Hmm the opinion of an esteemed business man and passionate rooster, verse the recycled opinion of red faced pen pushers and keyboard warriors.

His club, his team mate and club coach are 100% behind him. The rest are irrelevant.

I don't know about you but when someone ****s up at my business I don't send an open email to that person cc'd to the entire company telling them that I support them.

You tell that to them in person. There is absolutely zero reason to do it in public like that when it will simply lead to more negative pressure on him by the media at large.

If you ****ed up at work, would you want your boss to call a meeting of al employees, plus your friends, family, neighbours, and to try to convince hem all that, actually, you didn't make any mistakes and are totally awesome?

Give the bloke support at training and via phone or in person. Don't shout it from the rooftops and draw further negative attention to it
