Pearce is like every other halfback in that so much depends on the forwards carving the space. The Roosters have held their own (at least) with every pack they have faced this year. Pearce plays better with us because our pack is more dominant over the opposition than the blues pack were over theirs. If the blues are looking for a better kicking game than obviously Reynolds comes right into it but Pearce has the toughness. Maybe playing them as a combination would work better. I dont know that Maloney was impressive enough to be a walk up start next year. Both Maloney and Pearce are vital to us though. That much is clear.
