Like the poster said a few posts ago, we pay extra to sit in the Roosters Area, therefore it should be the Roosters Area, we are not getting what we pay for.

Probably because they have tickets for it.

Go to the ticketek website and the categories that come up when purchasing tickets includes the chookpen. Might be a start to contact the club and get them to take that option off if it really bugs you.

then the cops escorted him out
It was once said that Osama bin laden hid in the sharks trophy cabinet for 8 years. he thought it was safe because nobody ever looked there.

They don't actually have a cabinet. When they went to convert the old basement at the leagues club into a gym, they found the old Amco Cup down there, covered in dust...true story...

That's exactly what the club encourages, particularly last week with the "Bring a mate for free" promotion. If you read the email properly, it advised that members are welcome to bring one guest for free with every membership and sit with them in GA seating, not reserved and not Chookpen seating.

Why would you not sit in a good seat if you had the option to buy a seat on or close to the halfway mark? If there are set rules and restrictions in place on where tickets can be bought, then i understand, but if the club is hoping good will would come into play, then they are dellusional, then again if $$$ wasnt the main thing for the club, then they may consider policing the problem a bit better.

I'll let you in on a little secret...GA seating is often better that reserved! My seat in Bay 14 is quite horrible to be blunt and I can't see myself going back there for the rest of the season. Bay 9 is far better in terms of views and being close to facilities etc. plus I bring different friends for different games..reserved seating doesn't necessarily mean a better view. You can also be stuck next to unpleasant people for months on end. I have a fear of commitment to seating arrangements..lol...don't forget also the Tigers match on Monday 19th August at Allianz is not our home game so we need to buy seats for that one too as we cannot use our memberships for admission.

Wife bought me season tickets one year in bay 12 i think it was, i thought it was great. But i have also sat on the 10m line many times and enjoyed it just as much. My eyes are pretty avg so i watch a bit on the big screen anyway.

On the tigers match, do the tigers have their own designated chookpen type area?

you must be one of the lucky few that actually has membership in bay 14 RWB.
i'm in bay 13, and every time I walk around to the chookpen side to see how the crowd is going, bay 14 always has the most spare seats, especially down the front.

Bay 13 is where it's at kegsy.

I sat in Bay 13 for quite a few years before I went to Melboring to live. I still keep in contact with the families I used to sit with. None of them are there anymore for various reasons but it was a good place to sit. I've heard good things about Bay 12 as well.

That's exactly the point Monty, so good that you have raised the question.
We all have mates that support other teams and we enjoy going to the footy with them every now and again.
On those occasions, please respect your Chook Pen and sit elsewhere. This way you can enjoy your night and ensure your mate(s) enjoy their night (even though hopefully their team has lost).

All of these concerns should be addressed with marketing by Chookpen members when renewals are due for next season.
Our club pays top dollar in rent of the SFS,so policing of reserved seating should be a pre requisite.
Insist you are buying a seat into a non alien reserved area...

From memory from past games when it's been a Wests home match, yes, they have will have the equivalent of where their paid members will be allowed to sit. But I don't think that will be much of an issue this year as we outnumbered them greatly in terms of memberships this year. With the game being on a Monday night also, I don't think many of their fans will turn up.

I'll never forget 2010 against Canterbury when I popped over to see Andy Walker in the Chookpen during the 20's match and realised when I looked over to Bay 13 that there were Canterbury fans sitting in that section. When I went around, we were told that there was a monumental error made by Ticketek (a friend worked there and confirmed this with me later) and several rows were taken up by visiting Canterbury fans who had legitimate seats there. Back in those days, we didn't have the membership numbers because of 2009 spoon, so we were surrounded by them. We ended up winning after being down 30-18 and it truly was one of the most satisfying wins I've witnessed live. Steve Noyce rang us all later that week to apologise as we ended up calling security as 7 of their fans ganged up on a single mother with her son who had been sitting in that section for years. This is why I'm so reluctant to buy tickets today during the pre-sale as we don't know which area would be designated to the good guys and the bad guys.
