The thing Ive been saying all season. Especially evident now. They dont have our Defense. And ours is getting better.
There's only one reason I want the Minor premiership. So The Laughs dont win anything. They wont make the GF, let alone win it. Easts V Melba.Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

It would be naive to call them a two man team.
The Burgess brothers are two of the game's most damaging forwards, and nothing short of a top-drawer performance from JWH, Moa and SBW will negate that.
At some point they will manage to isolate SKD, potentially with Inglis, and that is never going to end well.
They had an off night, but it's no time for complacency.

Saints won ugly. You have to out cove Souths, that's Rusty's influence on them. Gone are the days of pink suits, social engineering and pokies reform (Wassup Andrew Wilkie!) they've invoked the This Sporting Life spirit with the Burgess boys, but neither of them will shag Rachel Roberts, and a healthy Inglis is death on two legs.
If he's fit and rested by round 26 then I don't think it will be anything like a walkover.Last edited by Johnny.; 07-23-2013, 10:40 AM.SUPER DRAGON!

johhnyy remember that inglass wouldn't have played for 6 weeks.
and the only reason older burgess is apparently leathal is because he sits out wide and runs at the smallest defender(der ,,aint no rock science) when once out of their own half . and jnr burgess is a cranky little shit and can be prevoked into doing some stupid stuff.(penalities if we get this shit upset)1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

We'll be on top of the ladder within three weeks.

I watched the game to gauge the performance of the riffraff, attack structure, defence and intensity. Overall Saints were poor in execution during the first half had 40 tackles inside Rabbits 40 meter line, they could not cross; but South's were committed and well structured although Saints had poor options and lacked the speed and options that the Roosters showed on Saturday night.
Notably the merge made good ground when their forwards ran in straight lines to the advantage line of South's; off loads improved in the 2nd half and South's could not cope with the straight line attack and the two chip kicks asked serious questions of the rabbits defence.
South's got massive support from the Refs and two of Saints kicks failed to find touch from the few penalties awarded to Saints. South's wrestle the ball carrier, push the limits, and slow down the play the balls. They get away with hands on the football, lying in the ruck. So much leniency is given to the riffraff by the officials'; we would have been pinned at almost every ruck play. This game should be replayed and watch by our team before our round 26 clash. No doubt our coach will highlight the strengths and weakness of the South's game.
Regarding our teams effort on Saturday night, their whole game was stunning, speed went into overdrive, play options all over the place, defence was outstanding; nice to sit and relax confident that the Sharks would not break the line.
Reminds me of the 74 and 75 quality team.

Let's just beat the Knights and go from there.

Cronulla didn't throw a thing at us either.

This they did, blatantly, and with impunity (only 1 penalty to easts 2nd half apart from 2 spear tackle mandatory penaltis). There were 2 particularly galling "non penalties" to easts - the Fifita leg pull on a tackled player (always a penalty, except when it's us); and when Mini took that bomb and went on a run to the 30 metres, where he was held down after the tackle for close to 10 seconds.
Along with being way off side for most tackles, of course they were able to stifle our attack in the 2nd half.
