I agree regarding Moga's physical fitness - two consecutive ACL's is a lot to come back from.

But his attitude I don't think will be an issue. Firstly, his issues with Smith are well documented - they did not get along. Given Robinson's popularity amongst the playing group, you would expect an improvement in Moga's attitude.

Secondly, almost every player in our side has shown a marked attitude improvement under Robinson. Surprisingly, I think this is most evident in SKD. Despite his sub-par year, he is not walking around thinking what he is doing is good enough. You can tell he is genuinely upset by mistakes he makes. On top of that, while his attack has been ordinary, the improvement in his defence is remarkable. He knows how to hit with the shoulder, and he knows how to hold up a player until cover defence comes across. He is nowhere near perfect, but the pathetic arm grabs and random rushing up out of the line have been few and far between.

That sort of shift in the players attitude would hopefully be equally as true for Moga. If it is, look out NRL.

To be honest, the fact tupou has been such a revelation and we have guys like milne, macdonald and co coming through means that whether or not moga can come back and reach the lofty heights he is destine for will not necessarily dictate how our backline stacks up going forward.

Can't imagine the Roosters without Mini, but at the same time we have a ton of stars that need the opportunity and chance to play at first grade.

Would hate to lose talents like Moga and Langi to other teams.

if we win the gf this year I think mini win leave. It will be a great note for him to end his elustrious carreer. that good russle crow will direct and star in the movie.

Proven talent in the halves so far is skids, jenko, toupo, and maubs. semi ready is moga. sitting on the way side is , henry, roko(can kick a goal), wells (is a speedster)


and as for reading the nrl weekly. that's why I love coles as they sell them so I can read the whole thing cover to cover whilst pushing the trolley for the wifeeee

Mini's an 80 minute player who hasn't been letting in a lot of tries this season.

If Mini wants to stay on a small salary and play the role of depth player who probably gets anywhere from half a dozen games to a dozen then sure. It'd be great to see a club legend like him still in and around the club, providing valuable experience, professionalism and helping out with the young kids.

As a first team member then no I think it's the wrong decision from the club.

Good post, can't really argue with any of that. Robbo is making our team work fantastic as a unit. If RTS was being stifled on the wing with little impact in games then there would be more reason for Mini to retire, but that isn't happening. Also with Moga's latest setback adds more weight to Mini staying on one more season, especially if we have not got a suitable replacement lined up to come in. I'm sure Mini would take a pay cut out of loyalty to the club in order to stay, he is that sort of bloke.

In a perfect world for me though, I would have Mini retire a premiership winner at the end of this season, going out on top like he deserves, with the Roosters signing a really good replacement for either wing or fullback. The reason I say this is that it does concern me a bit with Mini turning 34 next year.
