I know he's still relatively young but he still deserves a shot at FB next year. Henare Wells is another who will be kicking himself after reading/hearing this news.
RTS will be starting fullback next year, even Mini knows this.

Mini has said that he may have to shift from fullback for RTS next year.. here's hoping he does so

So RTS moves to fullback and mini takes his wing spot. That leaves mini playing outside Kenny Dowell. If that's the way it turns out opposing teams will direct that much traffic down that side it will be busier than Pitt st. The refs will need traffic lights lol.

Would Anthony Minichello rather be remembered as Mariano Rivera or as Sammy Sosa?

Retire a year too early or too late.
          SUPER DRAGON!

The one thing I liked about Bennets coaching is, he always punted a player a year earlier, rather then a year later. Mini has served us well, and been well rewarded for his loyalty to the club, but its time Mini, don't make the decision harder for the club then it has to be, you are having a good season, take that good form and your new son over to the UK for a season or two, see the world, and come back, I'am sure the club will have a position within the club, for you in some capacity, I think marketing might be your go, don't stay a year too long, for your own sake.

I get the feeling that if Trobbo feels a player is not needed or can't add value to the team then that player will not be required. So if Trobbo sees value in keeping Mini for another year, then I'm not going to argue with the decision !

Tuivasa-Sheck happy to bide his time
                  Steve Jancetic
                  13:39 AEST Wed Jul 31 2013

Heir apparent Roger Tuivasa-Sheck says he is no rush to inherit the Sydney Roosters No.1 jumper, with the NRL club believed to be on the verge of re-signing veteran fullback Anthony Minichiello.

Tuivasa-Sheck, who in April was 18th man for the New Zealand Test side after just a handful of NRL games, has long been considered the Roosters' fullback-in-waiting, with the 20-year-old cutting his teeth in the top grade on the wing.

It had been assumed he would be handed the role in 2014, but the Roosters are now considering keeping skipper Minichiello on for another season, with talks ramping up in the next fortnight.

There have been suggestions Tuivasa-Sheck and Minichiello could swap positions next season, but the Kiwi excitement machine says he is more than happy to bide his time on the wing.

"We do talk about that fullback role," Tuivasa-Sheck said of his conversations with coach Trent Robinson.

"We touch up on it because we don't want to surprised if Mini goes down, he always wants me to be ready.

"We still talk about it but at this moment Mini's still our No.1 fullback

"Just the way the team's going, I'm more in a rush to win a premiership than trying to get the No.1 spot."

But whether it be in 2014 or 2015, Tuivasa-Sheck will eventually succeed Minichiello at the back, which is why he spends plenty of time learning whatever he can off the former Golden Boot winner.

"When Mini needs someone to go against him, I tend to put my hand up and jump in the back there or if Mini's away I tend to jump in the back and take control a bit," Tuivasa-Sheck said.

"I'm always doing a bit of practice back there.

"I learn so much from him, even stuff off the field, the way he lives his life."

So what about taking on Minichiello's holistic diet?

"I'm still trying to get to that, he's a freak with his diet - it shows when he takes his shirt off," Tuivasa-Sheck said.

"He doesn't really push it, but you can just see him ... it just makes you want to do it."

Whether it is '14 or '15 - I hope it's 2014 - Sheck is the brightest upcoming talent I've ever seen come through this club.
