It's fair to say that MK didn't really reach his potential here at the Roosters but I wish him the best of luck.

He was making great progress in 2011 before that foot injury but never could get back into top form since.

I dont blame him leaving with the speculated contract of 320-330 a season that's quite hard to turn down and we have two firebrands coming through the ranks - everybody win.

i know trhgis is a good move for the club and for marty but for all his negatives pointed out regularly on this forum, marty genuinly loves this club! i for one will be very sorry to see him go, hed told me hed hoped to be back in the team for semi finals? i wonder if thats still his goal?

That's a good deal for Marty, he loves the club but hasn't progressed as well as hoped - he's probably still 3+ seasons from his best but wouldn't have received anywhere near the cash the Broncos have thrown at him, good luck Marty.

Good riddance to Kennedy never believed the hype about this bloke couldn't even dominate at u/20's level, Napa and Evans will surpass his feats at the club.

Whilst I agree it's a good move for all, I'm hoping it's true that it was Marty that asked for the release and not us giving him a shove.

I wouldn't want any sour feelings or discontent in the camp at this time of year.

                Good riddance.

I always said he was a soft, slow, stopping at the line, skirt wearing, penalty giving, kick off return and dropout return glory boy, third man in tackling, screaming like a poof when clearly uninjured carnt.

                MLK from the grassy knoll.

                Crack back and sack baby.

                Next victim.

Good move from both parties. Management seems to be making all the right choices nowadays IMO

Good luck Marty!!!.....we just have too much depth in the front row department and with the young bulls Liu, Napa and Evans coming through, I'd hate to see us lose one of them....you should get a starting role with the ponies.

What a knee jerk reaction from our club. Bad move in my opinion. They have invested in this bloke for many years and to see him go is dissapointing. When he goes on to play for QLD and Australia, you will all be rueing the day we let him go.

Remember Evans and Napa have proved nothing so far in first grade.

                              Good result all round.
Roosters have solid forward stocks. MLK may have been a fringe player over the next 12 months. The Galloping Vermin need forwards and see us as their recruitment ground (Tasi & now MLK) and are prepared to pay more.
Thanks Marty and good luck with your future.

Good luck at the Bronc's Marty. Always gave his all for the Roosters which is all you can ever ask. Had some minor flaws in his game, but nothing like what is talked up on the Chookpen.

He will play a lot of FG, but unfortunately for him, when JWH got suspended, FPN and LOD stepped up and demanded new contracts (I'm assuming LOD will get one now) whereas Kennedy didn't. Before this point, I reckon MK would've been above FPN and LOD in the pecking order. Given he won't have a chance to change the pecking order this year, the writing was on the wall.

All credit to LOD is he gets a new contract for next year. He deserves it. After JWH, he is now our second best prop IMO.
