Will be sorry to seem him leave the club where he has spent all of his formative years. His defence was great and he used to make plenty of yardage causing damage to opposition forwards. However, with the salary cap and wanting to hang onto the two good , young props, have to accept that we cannot afford him. Similar to Shillington a few years ago when Freddy was filthy at losing him. I hope we did not lose Marty because we purchased Casti, because the Frenchman seems to be similar in stature and size to LOD and plays a similar style of football. However, I could be wrong. If you got to leave Marty, thanks for all the memories and good luck for the future.

        Wrong....we still have The Moth.

Bit of a shame to see a guy like Kennedy leave after coming through the junior rep sides and having so much time put into him. Seems like he's been here for years

          Can't keep them all though

          I wish him well

Gutted he is going. Would prefer him to Frenchy. Watched casty play a few times and havnt been impressed. Never best on park. Have a feeling we might regret letting the snake man go. Surprised we didn't make him honour his contract.

It will be interesting to see if he gets penalised as much when wearing maroon and yellow...

If he doesn't play well next year, we'll send him to PNG....

Casty will be a monster after an NRL pre-season, he'll deliver just like Moa - you'll see.

casty signing a blessing.mk with his foot and knee injuries would only make he slower.takes a good season to get over a knee injury i.e hodges and aubs whereas mk has never recovered from his nasty foot injury.

It astounds me that people would take a no-name french nuffie over an established NRL firstgraders who was just selected as 18th man for QLD. Now I've seen everything on these forums.

And for those that question his penalty counts. Has our team penalty count gone down since MK has been sidelined?

What really astounds me is the nuffies on here that think they know better than the coach.

                              /\ /\ /\ This.

Moa is a perfect example. He was touted as nothing more than a "depth signing", or a Jets regular by all & sundry when his signing was announced. Now look at he love fest he gets on here.

Robbo coached Casty at Catalans, so if he thinks he's worth brining over here, then I for one am happy to support him in that decision. I'm sure that playing in a strong pack like ours, Casty will more than hold his own.

For what's it's worth, Bobby Goulding, who coached Casty in the French national team, said that Casty was the best European forward in the game, after Sam Burgess.

Correct weight Waylander. Robbo spent 2 seasons coaching Casty and also the current year coaching MK and 2010 as an assistant. He has seen them both first hand on and off the field. I will trust his judgement on Casty. He did make the ESL team of the year in 2012, Moa didn't. There are many other things to consider, maybe the money Kennedy is going to get is considered too much for a bench front rower which is probably what he would be next season and with many other front rowers pushing for spots, it is a risk worth taking to release him.
