I would love to see the money freed up by MK leaving go towards signing an outside back and strengthening that area which we are not strong with in quality depth.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

    Here's looking at you, kid.

HE asked for a release. No good complaining about who we have signed. He knows the talent coming through as do other clubs. I'm sure the broncos spoke to his manager and threw an offer at him. He knows how hard it will be for a FG spot next year and if he can go elsewhere for more money and less competition who can blame him.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Besides..I doubt Robbo would have had much of a sway on this one.

Too right Roo, Robbo is the future and retaining the right players is the key..

I liked Marty and its sad to lose players who have gone through the ranks at Easts, but the team hasn't missed a beat since he has been injured.

Yes, Marty may turn into Shillow mark 2. I really hope he does but when the 'Pillow' left us all those years ago we were on a rapid decline, that is why many on this forum started whinging, etc about letting players like Shillow, Tamou, Hannant, etc go.

Right now we're are on the up and while Marty may go on to represent Qld and possibly Australia, I don't think his loss will be felt that much at Easts.

Marty hasn't had much luck with injuries in recent year so maybe a change of scenery and being closer to his family back in Qld will contribute to Marty getting towards his potential. Plus a greater chance of a starting first grade spot with the reasonable to good money the Broncos are offering Marty would be a lure too great to resist.

Big Marty would prefer to play FG with the Ponies at Red Hill as opposed to the prospect of possibly playing at Henson Park next season. He would be battling for a FG spot, considering the front row stocks we will have next season.

Just a shame that he's gone to another proud NRL team that is currently on a sharp slide.
He had some lean years here and he didn't learn from it, so stupid is as stupid does!

I'm sorry but when did MK become a gun prop that we'll regret losing?

Represent Australia one day? Surely that's a piss take.

He's a solid 1st grader at best. Never punches through the line, slow play the balls ... it's no surprise that our team has steamrolled teams for 80 minutes since he's been injured.

I wish him all the best because he's a top bloke but he was on the verge of being swamped at the Roosters by the emergence of Napa, Evans and Liu. And he knew it, too; hence the transfer request.

                      • MK, I will miss your handbrake slides when you hit the ball up... Sign LOD for another year, then Evans should be firing.

That fricken foot injury will always be the excuse people make for the simple fact that the guy is shit!

Thanks for that little bit of inside info Stephen.
I reckon that every player at every club has a premiership ring with their particular club as a goal.

As a NSW supporter, I'd love to see Teletubby play for QLD!!

Moa is a perfect example. He was touted as nothing more than a "depth signing", or a Jets regular by all & sundry when his signing was announced. Now look at he love fest he gets on here.

Robbo coached Casty at Catalans, so if he thinks he's worth brining over here, then I for one am happy to support him in that decision. I'm sure that playing in a strong pack like ours, Casty will more than hold his own.

For what's it's worth, Bobby Goulding, who coached Casty in the French national team, said that Casty was the best European forward in the game, after Sam Burgess.
How can he be the best, but 'after' Burgess?
