Top game by the Roosters. Gutsy win against the odds IMO.
Points of interest:
1. Jennings tackle on Uate even though he was penalised it was 1st class, Uate would of scored if he didn't pull off that tackle.
2. Jennings in full flight scoring another Roosters try, it gives me goose bumps.
3. JWH, mate am I LOVING this guys attitude, it is just what you want from your enforcer, sailing very close to the wind. His forearm to Masons head whilst in possession & his double penetration hit with SBW on Mason was outstanding.
4. SBW, the shot alone on Mason was enough for me, what a ripper.
5. FPN, we have it folks, 3 dead set hard fcukers. He is the 3rd intimidator & doing a good job.
6. LOD, this guy is playing like he was 27, he is doing an outstanding job.
7. Jake Friend, give me some more humble pie. The most improved Rooster this year without a doubt.
8. Boyd Cordner. The Roosters have the next superstar forward in the game.
9. The Roosters have the best pack of forwards in the League ATM.
10. Surprised Sheck didn't catch Boyd.
Can they win the comp?
I have said from the start Souths will win the comp but I must admit the Roosters are better than what I thought they would be & they are a very very very good side & well coached but for me the concern still revolves around Pearce, his execution on the 4th or 5th tackle in the oppositions quarter IMO is going to be the difference between getting the silverware & not getting the silverware.
