Sure seems to just be straightout bias against the Roosters.
      'Hate' if you like.

Maloney, Jennings and others needs to be told to smarten themselves up and stop giving away stupid penalties like they did against the Knights.

Do that even once against the Storm, Rabbits and Sea Eagles and they will make us pay!
As will the Panthers at home this Friday.

This 'the Roosters defence is impassable' nonsense is just that...Boyd caught the bomb and just ran straight through the whole team to score at the other end of the field.

RTS as usual was nowhere to be found in defence when McManus just waltzed over in the corner to score.
Caught infield as usual, tackling the centre this time.
He was supposed to be marking the winger!

The problem I have is more the penalties we don't get as opposed to those we give away

Yes, teams that play us seem to be basically able to do as they please with impunity.

Why for example wasn't that Knights player penalised and put on report for whacking Mini in the head with a big swinging arm?

Stand by for the usual 2-9 penalty count against us when we play the Sharks at Cronulla soon.

Spot on Billy , you only need to watch any game and see that what we get nailed for is often overlooked when the opposition do it to us , I have often noticed this specifically when watching the replays.
A point that was made last night on the Matty Johns show was that with our Defensive structure we are able to reset from the start instead of defending from broken play. Now I think that is far fetched as a planned theory however it may actually have some merit , cause we sure get enough chances to reset our D that is for sure.

An aside to this is something foul that Harrigan started
Harrigan started the trend back in the day, once a team gained some dominance he refereed the game differently for both sides.
Usually Brisbane benefited, it sickened me the way he was lauded as a great referee when he was ruining many games of football. Certainly showed when he tried to run the refs

Our five shutout wins this year have given us a combined scoreline of 172-0.

We've lost the penalties in those games by something like 40-27.

In games where you're so dominant and have teams backpedalling all game, those numbers defy belief.

I'm not at all surprised by Tommy's stats. To my mind they are a damning indictment and irrefutable proof of the way the Roosters are being poorly treated by game officials. A clown at work told me I have a "victim mentality" when it comes to the Roosters and refused to accept any proof I presented by always saying either "it's the same for every team" or "the Roosters have to fix their discipline issues."

This point requires quoting to ensure the point gets across to those who think there's nothing to see here.

Funny how that person says the victim mentality - I see it like this - that League is traditionally a working class game whereas the perception of Eastern Suburbs is not part of that, so this socio demographic hangup , jealousy or call it what you like by the powers that be including the refs could give some the reason to believe we as a club are not treated fairly - it may well be why because the stats are creditable evidence - not just how much we are penalised but how many we don't receive.

I just basically trolled through every game for as long as I could be bothered. The pattern was obvious by 2008. Oh and there were plenty of 6, 7 and even 8 + penalty count losses.

4 times in 143 games we've won a penalty count by 4. That's just blatant. Especially when compared to 29 against.
Excellent, thanks. I am familiar with that site. But I still can't see the penalty count information.

The irony is that Bondi was very working class.

I remember hearing Malcolm Turnbull's speech about how his family were below the poverty line growing up in Woollahra and attending Sydney Grammar (with a scholarship.)

Given the context he was poor and obviously a high achiever but I doubt many would associate Woolahra and Sydney Grammar with that. Funniest speech ever because out of context he sounded like a rich w@nka with NFI.

If you click on the Rnd hyperlinks, e.g. Rnd 1, Rnd 2, ... Rnd 26, you get full details of team line-ups, try scorers, crowd figure, referees, scrums and penalties. Hope that helps.
