apparently Paul Green now favourite for the Cowboys first grade coaching job, would be a big loss to the club, Green is the main coaching force behind the massive improvement of Friend out of dummy half.

would be a shame for the coaching quartet of Robinson/Taylor/Fitzy/Green to be broken up after only 1 year, you could only imagine the improvement the squad would have after another full pre-season.

Funny, I was only contemplating this on the weekend. I reckon Robbo is a pretty special coach but the coaching team that he has assembled seems to me to be a huge part of our success - it looks very NFL in it's structure and specialisation.

The downside is, of course, that good assistant or specialist coaches will aspire to be head coaches which makes it hard to keep a good coaching team together.

Didn't think it would start this early though.

You would think Walters has the inside running though. There is a fascination with employing coaches who have been through the system at the storm. Besides, the great Cam Smith has endorsed him as the man for the job
