Agree with this. It's not that long ago he was being touted as a future captain of the club by a few people.

I don't actually think we'll miss Marty that much, if at all, but the garbage he cops on here is unwarranted.

Around the time the reports of him going to Brisbane surfaced (before anything had been confirmed), there was a FoxSports feature with Kennedy being interviewed by Gasnier.

Gasnier did a "first thing that comes to mind when I say" segment, and one of the words he said to Marty was "Roosters".

The big fella's response was "home".

He's a good prop who had a rough run with injuries. More importantly, he genuinely loves this club. He is rated highly enough to have been selected as 18th man for the Maroons. I would dare to suggest this is more of an accolade than earning the respect of Tommy_Smith, or anyone else on here that thinks he is soft.

thanks guys for some objective comments re marty, he knew when his knee went that wwas the end of him here? our back up props are doing a sensational job and deserve styarting spots or more time off the bench, of course it all seems to revolve around jwh fantastic season, nowonder the pink nasties tried to rub him out?

I at least asked if others have any proof to back up the claim he asked for a release to take up big dollars in Brisbane. Whereas people are stating personal opinion as fact regarding his desire to remain with the Roosters.

Our club have done a great job recently. And for some of you to accuse them of dumping Marty is hurtful. Canavan & co. put their heart and soul into this club, which im sure means a lot more to them than the opinions of a few on here who would baselessly accuse them of "dumping" a player.

Very well said. The garbage some supporters are writing about Kennedy on here is disgraceful. Suggesting he is soft etc for instance is a disgrace.
